Kaminari and its an amazing wing. Very, very hard to find and not cheap. Discontinued and nobody makes a replica. Rodel has one and has plenty of gorgeous pics of it.

Never heard of a metal shim on a 7M and I have no clue how that would supposedly seal...
Check through everything else, check for contamination in the oil or coolant, but i'd guess that shim may have caused a problem.
Holy crap, have you totaled all those parts? That's like $16k without the cosmetic section. That'll be one hell of a mk3 if you can make 1/2 those things happen.
My dream parts list isn't too far from what you've got listed. I'll be anxious to see this come together. :)
WOw, that is crazy cheap! The borescope I use at work is just under $50,000 and looks similar to that first scope. A borescope could have saved me many, many hours and many $$$ on the motor that is in my Black car...
Clean car, save the seats, lol. Seats can make a huge difference on the feel of the interior. Getting yours recovered or replaced should really pull that interior together.
As always, enjoying the pics and keep up the good work. :) Seeing your thread has been good motivation to get my ass out...

Well here it goes. This took a ton of labor to perfect. I'm no wiring genius and until this my circuit prototyping experience was practically zero. I'd worked on basic breadboard projects in my electronics 101 engineering course, but that was about it.
First, for a...
Yeah, I should get my lazy ass typing one of these days. My biggest hesitation has been uploading all the photos to photobucket. I had the camera unintentionally set to the highest quality so each pic is like 3MB and I have dozen of pics... So it'll take a while to upload everything, lol. And...
Ordered a Paladin crimper with open barrel terminal crimper for ~$70. I debated a pro-crimper from tyco or some other high $$ crimper, but the project cost is mounting quickly and this should do the job plenty well.
Also ordered $300 in MIL spec 22759/16 wire, about 900 feet or so. I got most...
This is something I've always struggled with in work, school and life in general. I always seem to hit a roadblock in one task and get forced to do something else while I wait on parts or someone else to finish their part of the task.
I like IJ's advice and certainly agree with the whiteboard...
20-50 oil? Yeah, change that immediately. The only reason that would be a good choice is if the motor was strictly used for racing or if its on the verge of bearing failure and you're trying to limp it home.
0-30 would be a better choice on a 7m.
For power, you're perfectly safe where you are...
That is the only problem. :)
Unfortunately though, its a big one. Stock seats vs good aftermarket light seats can be a 100lb difference. Though, by the time you add in the proper equipment for aftermarket seats, it may be a draw...

If you've got a valve issue, make sure the head isn't completely soft. My bad valve seat was the first sign my head was trashed. If you can get it hardness tested, do it.

0 would indicate a valve to me. I've never seen or heard of bad rings resulting in 0 compression. When I had a stuck valve, that's the only time I've ever seen 0.

Something that cheap scares me. Seats are a part of a safety system. Any racing seat needs to be installed with proper harnesses and harness bars.
Seats are about last thing ypu should cheap out on.
If you can't afford a few hundred per seat, maybe you should NOT buy seats.
