Very low budget, rebuilding a good running block, head probably shouldn't be machined again, but now has to be, debating new internals, boring the block...
What?
This won't end well...

So the cx racing manifold hugs the block more than stock? I'm trying to picture exactly how it would contact and it seems that manifold must be a significantly different design than the stock one. I don't remember the stock one coming nearly that close to the oil filter outlet.

I thought you were being totally sarcastic. Then I looked it up on Champion. The stock parts are actually very affordable.

There is a relief valve in the oil pump which should limit the oil pressure. IMO, there is zero need for any additional pressure relief. The stock system only has the second relief to allow flow to the cooler. Once the oil is past the pump you should flow all of it to the engine. :)
Looking myself. The gs just looks super nice. I already have a truck, bike and the supra though. 4 methods of transportation may be a bit unnecessary, lol.

Completely agreed. I've seen and reviewed the testing. The only reason I use and suggest ARP studs is because they are studs instead of bolts and the cost difference is minimal in the grand scheme. I wouldn't have any major issues with using OEM Toyota hardware if I needed to.
I haven't seen any evidence the rod and main bolts even need to be replaced for anything near stock power. Maybe I'm ignorant though. :dunno:
I've reused stock on all mine with 20,000+ troublefree miles at elevated boost levels. I say use that $160 elsewhere. I bet you'll need it, lol.

You're dead on. The biggest problem child's at this point are the tns pins for the heater control connector. So far I only have a few of the correct pin types out of ~6+ styles.

Well the wiring harness is still under way. Tracking down brand new terminal pins is a BITCH. Very difficult to source.
Anyways, while waiting to find all the terminals, I made a little bracket/brace for some switches I got. Doesn't look pretty now, but after a matte black paint job it should...
Nash, sorry man I completely disagree. The new LED's are bright and yes, at times annoying. That's the point! They grab your attention and will most certainly minimize accidents. They are not NEARLY bright enough to be a safety concern.
Think of living in an area with routine fog. I've been in...
1/5th? Probably less than that even. A good jz conversion can be anywhere from $4-8k even if you're doing nearly all the wrenching.
Op: if you thought building any type of supra motor and doing it right would be cheap, you're dead wrong, lol.
Build it right and enjoy the 7m. :)

I can do it if you make it worth my time. I dont need to profit off it or anything, but I'm pretty busy and Pending the exact location in "Denver" I could be looking at a 60 minute drive each way.
PM with some details or reply here. :)
There are loads of reasons and circumstances where it will leak only while driving and never noticeably drip. If the leak is near the exhaust the slow leak may evaporate and stop before the motor cools. I've had multiple leaks which I could only find with a pressure tester. I've rented them a...
