Anyway, to actually answer your question, yes, i think $1500 would be enough.
Here's my guestimate, assuming you do all disassembly/rebuild:
Hone block. 75
Deck block. 100
Polish crank. 75
Check/resize rods 75
Arp head studs. 120
New bearings...

The oil galley plug is neither NPT or BSP. Apparently, it's a metric size.
I didn't really need to know the oil galley plug size per se, but rather the rear collant bleed valve near the back of the block.

Got the oil pan powder-coated today, textured black. Feels rock hard, like stone guard....
