    Project Git 'er done!: Stages 1, 2, 3, 4....Stage 5- Reassembly after 13 years!!!

    Hmm. I dunno... Ive got it right up flush to the rad, and im using stock shroud and fan, so the air should be effectively pulled through it. I didnt center it to the fan, either. I offset it so that it wouldnt be in the 'dead zone' at the center point of the fan's rotation. Perhaps the gap...

    emericaskater285's MKIII build of DOOM!

    Looking sweet. Is your fuel line flexible braided all the way from the pump to the rail?

    Carbon Fiber Dash Cover

    agreed. if it's made to terminate at a logical, aesthetic point, and can be had in a matte(no-glare) finish, I might be in. PS- Would it extend all the way up to cover the defroster area? Mine's got cracks forming there.

    Project Git 'er done!: Stages 1, 2, 3, 4....Stage 5- Reassembly after 13 years!!!

    Welp, it looks like it won't suffice, at least not for every job. I tried welding onto some thick steel under my MR2, and it just wouldn't penetrate. I'm not surprised, because it was only a 70amp welder. So I bought a bigger one: Also, finally chose a location for the oil cooler- right...

    Project Equinsu Ocha

    I agree, but I sometimes need the cigarette lighter to charge my phone, so... I like the new location for the cig lighter, Doon.

    Project Git 'er done!: Stages 1, 2, 3, 4....Stage 5- Reassembly after 13 years!!!

    Just a teeny little Craftsman 115v welder. I only really need it for exhaust work, so it should suffice.

    Hey...HEY! I'm still here. Just because a guy doesn't update his build thread in a few weeks- doesn't mean he's gone. Well, in a way it does. I've been out of town(and the country, at times) since the second week of last month, working. They let me home for 24 hours today, and I go back out for...

    ground for guages windows and ac control module

    I was in Bahamas last week, and no, it does get better than there. Was in Grand Cayman and St. Kitts this weekend, and I would say that St Kitts is the better choice. Better exchange rate, too. Ps- not that this has anything to do with the present conversation, but... Did you figure out...

    Piping and throttle body sizing

    Well, part of the oem restriction is the path that the air has to travel. Oem, it travels up into the top of the airbox, then down through the restrictive filter, and then towards the maf, going from square at the box, to round. That can cause turbulence.

    Experts - take a look at this bearing

    If the mains are true to the block and there was no debris under the bearing, then its probably a crank journal with a touch of taper. Thats assuming this is a main bearing. If its a rod bearing, it could also be a bad rod.

    not sure but...

    Should probably ask the mods to move this to WTB, or maybe the regional forum for NorCal. You'll get better exposure there.

    1986.5 7mge -> 2jzge my very first build.

    Hmm. I dont see Indigo's comment here now, but he mentioned having the walbro 400 like you, but i had assumed that you hadnt had the chance to run yours yet. I think i'm pretty much sold on either the Deatschwerks 301 or the Aeromotive stealth, myself.

    1986.5 7mge -> 2jzge my very first build.

    Indigo- how do you like the Walbro 400? How is the noise compared to the 255?

    LOL. This is exactly true.
