what is the best way to diagnose boost leaks?

umm, sounds like a bit too much for that kind of mileage... my supra had 199,000 when i bought it, and it was $1,200 (it didn't even start when I came to look at it) as far as the BHG, because it has so many miles, it would probably be best to pull the motor and rebuild w/MHG and ARPs...

hmm, maybe valve stem seals? Yea, if it were valve cover gaskets, it would have been above the plug. HG doesn't seem likely?

yea, sounds like cam seals, and you don't have to take the valve covers off to replace them. Also, to remove the cam gears, I didn't use an sst, I just had someone hold a screwdriver inside one of the cam sprocket spokes (there are two bolts behind each cam sprocket) and use the tension...

where do you get those numbers... 10-12? i dont understand how the timing is set. Could someone please explain? When i set the timing, I just aligned everything, is there something else i should be doing?

check the front cam caps (one on each cam, just behind the timing belt backing plate.) i had a leak from one that wasn't tightened down completely, tightened it some more, and voila, oil leak fixed!

I just remembered, the same EXACT thing happened to my dad's Jaguar XJ-6 (i believe) about 5 years ago... totalled.

it was offered for a time around 90-92? right? It is definitely possible to wire keyless entry in though... I know Aaron at Driftmotion does it for like $150

hmm, i stuffed the socket i was using with paper towels, and wrapped it with electrical tape... then, once it was in, I just ripped it off...

i believe that it would cause it to run like crap, although it don't know how it would affect an N/A, but on the 7M-GTE, it makes it run like crap, depending on which one is bad... hope i helped.

um, it looks like Loki likes the stock sawblades, so he chose to powdercoat them, and make them even better!:biglaugh:

any codes?? I had the same problem w/ my N/A...turned out to be the TPS, try unplugging it and then see how the car does... I drove mine without a TPS for almost 6 months :biglaugh:

sounds like you need a new starter... did it happen ever before when you would go to start it?

umm, im assuming that you mean the wastegate ACTUATOR, (the soda-can looking thing facing the front of the car)? If so, that hose doesn't go to the intake, although some people have routed it there, because I have heard it is supposed to give more power or something?
