Well, if you took of the TPS, then that's your problem...it needs to be re-adjusted, which requires a multi-meter. Check the TSRM for the procedure.

umm...If you have white stuff in your oil, and your coolant looks oily/milky, then it is a BHG. And if you continue to drive you will definitely get rod knock, and probably damage several other internal engine parts as well. How long was your radiator leaking for? If it was for long...

Did you seperate the TPS from the throttle body, or did you just disconnect the connector to it? And it sounds like you probably messed up the throttle plate resting angle when you cleaned it...just adjust the idle screw until you get it to idle @ TSRM spec. which is 700RPM. Also check...

That's cool you got it fixed. did you re connect the p/s vac line? Or was it connected all along? On a side note...I hacked up my stock airbox today, I cut out the front, so the filter is totally exposed (stock filter)...I just left enough of the front of the airbox to hold the filter and...

That vacuum hose is for the PS system (Idle-up Valve), IIRC. And you would have to let it just suck in unmetered air, Figit, not pinch it.

Normal idle on an NA is 700RPM, Turbo is 650. The idle will change when A/C is on, ~900, or when the headlights are on.

look for vacuum leaks, check codes again (easy), Check TPS, the AFM could be causing weirdness as well.

Oh jeez, don't do the 58ft/lbs...do at least 72, as the Toyota spec. is too low, as is said to be the main problem that leads to BHG.

I have 4" Alpine Speakers up front, and JBL 5.25's in the back, and it still sounds bad, great midrange and high freq...but no bass...:(...I threw some $40 Kragen 10" subs in the hatch, and it has been decent, but I really want to go with the 6in. fronts...what is a good brand? I am leaning...

Yea, get it fixed, and maybe you can get a temp. sensor from Aaron while you're there like I did...(mine broke off too). Which temp. sensor are you talking about? The one on top of the thermo. housing, or the one farther down behind the ps reservoir?
