its the same. they just list it that way to get more sales. tha manifold also fits the 5m and 6m engines. though may require a lil touchup with a grinder where the manifold flange for the head slightly interferes wit hthe power steering bracket. lots of 5m's and 6m's with 7m manifolds and ct26's...
no need to drill and tap holes. the drain plug is on the side of the trans and so is the fil plug. i actually thought of this a year ago myself. put a threaded adaptor in the hole for say 8an line. then use an electric hydraluic pump of some sort to flow it. i have a 1st gen rx7 oil cooler to...

hats why i went wit hthe q compound pads from wilwood. they are quite, and work great. havent noticed any fade but hadnt gotten a chance to fully beat them to death yet. also seems to very minimal dusting.
not sure on the mkiii as i never beat any of my mkiii's that hard but the mkii wit hte 7m, the brakes get so hot the pads literally ate the rotors, which wasnt cool at all. anyhow, i got a power booster and aluminum master cylinder from a 92 turbo and then installed a summit linelock, wilwood...

ive never heard of any of the ebay i/c's cracking except by the people in this thread, the turbos also arnt held with glue. the wastegates work fine. the only issue is occasionall they get stuck open. which is easily fixed. take it apart. sand the stem on the wastegate valve a lil and put it...
fith forged pistons it should hold way more then 500rwhp. a friend of mine had a stock rebuild with the exception of forged pistons and a hks mhg and ran a t04b 60 trim at 22psi and then a 150shot wet foger on top of it for 5 years, et streets, 3 puck unsprung clutch etc... and had no problems...
i plan on this power level on ump gas and am going to sell my current turbo and got wit ha gt40 hybrid. itll have the gt4082 turbine wheel and 0.68a/r housing and the gt4088 compressor wheel and gt cover(polished of coarse). should have full boost ~3k rpm and make 550-600rwhp at ~20psi on 93...
sounds similar to the first r154 i toasted. i blew the 2nd gear synchro, so had to go from 1st to 3rd which wasnt horrible just to get around but no racing for sure. then finaly 1st went in largo at my gf's house and i had to drive back to tampa in traffic which is about an hour or more in...
