This was my thinking as well. This way he gets a hands on feel of the power, and he will then become interested, and do a little learning. He may even surpass what you have learned JMD. Who knows, maybe the 89 Supra will be all he needs to get him going. And, then he may have to buy another car...
My Alabama radar has gone off.....................it seems a west coast punk has made an attempt to infiltrate your thread. Lucky we can't see those types.
Looks like still a lot of work remains..............I can't wait! Lookin great so far. But I almost gaurantee I won't be driving to Chicago to see it next year. Maybe flying, but damn that's a long drive.
Can you show a picture of how you have those fog lights suspended?
I'm assuming that's the starter relay clicking?????
And, NO...I haven't yet done the 12V mod. I will probably look into that when I install the Walbro, after the car runs.
I don't believe the security horn is hooked up, but I will check that out to be sure.
My headlight switch was...
Doesn't the thickness also depend on how much material has been removed from the head and block. Or would it be wise to machine off enough to use a 2.0 mm gasket without changing compression ratios?
I used cleaninjectors.com.
There's a thread titled "are PTE's the new venoms" or something close to that. It was like $25 for flow testing only. I don't have time to search that thread for the proper info right now, but I will later.
It rains when I can work on the car, and stops when I have to go to work.................pisses me off!
I was able to get my fuses all swapped yesterday, but it made no difference. The car still has a short in it, that mimics the emergency flasher for a short while after I hook the battery...
I got it from HorsePowerFreaks. Price I think was $98. I orderred it back in June/July. They had to get it from Japan. It's possible that they restocked when they got mine, or you may have to order and wait like I did. Now may be the time to try them again if you tried before.
Very Nice looking car..........and that's 15 years old???????
I don't know anything about Saab values though. It seems kinda high for a 15 year old car to me.
I have just lost all motivation to finish my car! I can never match this. Looks great Ken! Maybe I can at least do the 3E5 world proud.
And yes, if lighting isn't perfect orange takes over the red on new red paint. Some of my engine bay pics did that too.
Ken, If you can swap that harness, there's not really anything you can't do. The LSD is not really that difficult. The hardest part is getting the axles loose from it once the bolts are off. The rest is cake if you have a good jack to handle the weight of it.
All of the external motor parts...
WOW! Good thing you got out quickly! Glad to hear you are OK. I'm in the middle of swapping my good motor into another car after a total. But mine is getting a lot of cool upgrades along the way...........Food for thought
James, your missing issue is in your injector clips. Just get something to push down on all of them. I think it's number 2 or 3. Then, when you come back down, I have a set of clips you can swap in there. They came from that second harness I had to put in my car.
I'm on my way to go get some...
Yep, I finally get time to work on it, and it's gonna rain all weekend. I did get my HKS 3000 pipe today, and I'm playing with it now. It looks like it's gonna require yet another silicone conector. That's a pain in the ass, but I can deal with it to get a larger pipe out of the deal. And the...
