I don't have any problem adding MKIV's to the site..........as long as we can agree that the "MKIII is not a Supra" comment stays at SF. And I think we need some kind of way to limit membership to Supra owners only. I'd like to keep our search function working.
I nominate you as President of the 3E5 club!(Sorry Lance, but his paint is newer) But every day there seems to be a new member with a very nice example. When I got mine, I was only aware of 4 or 5.
I made real progress today!
I disabled the aftermarket alarm first by removing the control module, and cutting all wires that were attached to the ignition. This had no affect on my starting problem, but it did clear up my electrical short. Next just for kicks, I swapped out my starter...
I don't know much about our automatic trannys, but it sounds like a vaccuum hose is not right on the tranny. And your compression is signaling you could also have BHG. It's not recommended, but you could probably baby it along a good while til you can afford to put some money into the car. But...
OK, here's the current situation.......................
My stock alarm horn was not in the car. I connected it, and took Ken's advise to try to deactivate it. That didn't help my electrical problem, but it could have set me into the right direction. The car has an aftermarket alarm system in...
I had 4 60's Stangs growing up (in the 80's). Mine were all 289's, but my Dad had a 66 with a straight 6. They were a good bit different top end, but the 6 was pretty peppy red light to red light. It wasn't quite as quick as the 289 though. I could see the 6 and a 7M-GE as being pretty...
I don't doubt that you may also have a boost leak.........but have you tried screwing that screw back in? It is free to do so. 15LBS is too much boost on a stock CT with your mods. Anything over 10-12 LBS is prone to get you fuel cut, and your description fits fuel cut to a T. I love your car...
I can see Dave making a trip up North to set you straight on who's wife she really is.
And............Believe it..........the Leprechaun is for real! I got that gold....I got the gold!
Sorry we can't be of any better help ANG. But you should make a point of meeting Jay/Vixen. They are...
I'm personally not a fan of the Milo's burger. Their fries are good, and their Iced Tea is legendary.
As for you "Vixen ?" comment...........That's Jays wife who knows more about a Supra than Jay, and has one just as nice as his. I would advise you to do some research on Vixen before you...
Give it more than an hour and a half. I tried this in the south Alabama area, and got little response on here. You have a lot more people near you on the boards though. This is the only instance I would ever suggest you also try that other Supra site..........but be careful you could get banned...
I'm from Mobile, and can think of a couple of exits off of I-10 lagged may have taken.
I can't be much help with advise on your trip. About 15 years ago I went to Birminghan, and tried to find night life. We looked all night long and couldn't find a bar anywhere. I'm sure it has changed...
