I used the flywheel only out of my ebay (scam) kit on my stock 87 which Jmoneydtb now has. I never drove the car with it's current motor without it. I had no trouble whatsoever out of the flywheel, or the scam clutch I used in my slightly modded 90 car. The only problems I have heard of out...

I'm not really sure what wires would be tapped into another. Are you sure that it is not wiring for some sort of upgrade, or a shade tree fix for something? I have a door harness in my shed that I can look at/take pictures of. I'll take a look if work lets me go home tonight.
