Were your old injectors working properly? Do you still have them?
If so, slap them on just to test you theory. It would be a shame to buy new injectors only to find out that's not the problem. Good luck!

Get a can of carb cleaner and start spraying it around where you hear the hissing sound...

Your coolant temp sensor can go wacko and tell the ecu that your car is way cold and that will cause it to run rich...but probably not as rich as you described.
