Grim: I had the same problem with my old car and fuel setup - stock with no VSV hooked up. On my new car, I have no pulsation dampner, Aeromotive AFPR, -6 lines, walbro pump, and no VSV. Starts up great hot, some times a little sluggish cold - maybe 2 cranking times.

Chev's right. Thats the anti-lock brake manifold. Most turbo supras were equiped with it, some weren't. Some non turbo supras came with it, most didn't.

Also, if you did change the manifolds, you may have undone the ground wires (brown and white, total of 4, paired 2 and 2) on the bottom of the mani. These have to be grounded or the car won't spark.

That adjustable timing mechanism is the CPS or the Distributor. It shouldn't be loose. Im too tired to explain how to set timing right now, but if you look it up on the online TSRM you'll have the car running in no time. Good luck and keep us posted.

Bah. Don't get them unless they are Z rated or higher. Get the Kumho supras or some sumitomos (cheaper, but same quality, but make more road noise).
