Well, theoretically, a 3bar MAP sensor, and 550s would just about even each other out. People do it all the time on 7Ms, why wouldn't it work on a 1JZ?

7M boost cuts based n the AFM signal, 1JZ 2JZ and MR2 all cut based off of the MAP signal (The same MAP sensor IIRC, that's why the FCDs are interchangeable) So, no a 7M one would not work, it's a different signal.

1JZ fuel cuts about 14-15 psi, so yes you would need one. a 2JZ one might work, but there are 1JZ ones for sale as well.

The rears don't really add anything, they just make more noise. They actually take away from the whole "stereo imaging", by introducing more background noise. It's a much better idea to purchase a nice front set, and do away with the rears. Adding anything to the rear, even another nice set...
