Could also be a broken lower pulley. They are steel/rubber/steel. The rubber inside tends to break down.

Just something nobody mentioned yet... have you checked your water level yet? If the sensors don't see the correct heat value the car thinks its "cold" and will idle fast.

Also, since you're running an internally gated system, make sure you have hose clamps on the actuator feed hose. Underboost it can cause a boost leak if not clamped causing the arm to close the wastegate door and thus increasing the boost. Simple fix....
