Yes its a good turbo. Easy to rebuild too since its a to4 center section. There are no ct26 parts on that turbo you have pictured.

Im guessing either the injectors are old and dirty, or you have a boost leak. We'll start with the simple: 1.) Check the spark plug galley for water or oil. Take off your boost controller. Leave it off. Go drive the car. If the problem still persists... 2.) Lets check for boost...

Appears to be a to4 with an exhaust housing with a ct26 foot print. Also appears to be either a 60 trim or larger compressor wheel. For $400, you should be good to go as long as there isn't tons of shaft play.

The ct-27 was indeed an upgraded ct26 for the MR2 guys.

Correct me if Im wrong, but didn't the early Tomkitty engines stall because they couldn't do high G's?
