Do I need a new wastegate?

No. The 57 trim will run off the stock wastegate actuator, arm & flapper just fine.

I have yet to find a need for them in a ct26 unless the wheel is bigger than a 60-1.

    ct26 360 thrust bearing

Unless you have a massive problem with compressor surge, or are running above 20psi, you don't need one. Also, I have yet to find a company that offer the 360 deg thrust system for the ct20/26.

    BOV Location

UPDATE: Just bought another cracked turbo

Dont' skimp on the gaskets. The toyota or napa ones are the only way to go. They are multi layer steel. If you go paper, you'll have a dead turbo in no time.

    60-1 on a 1jz?

STFU and QFT. I bet they are running small turbines and .48 - .68 rear housings. A 60-1 is a great sized comp wheel for the 1j, especially when paired with a O or P trim turbine. Ask Mark Lowe how much he likes his setup....

Been thinking about this all day long. Is it possible to have a torn instake gasket between the head and the plennum causing a "mini" boost leak or am I way out in left field here?
