Heh, that does seem true. I guess I never actually purchased the eibachs myself so I don't have any reason to want to like them because I spent the money for them. They did ride fine and handle pretty well for general driving but I didn't like the uneven lowering and the lowering in general...
I don't like them either, but my reasons aren't really based on handling (They seemed to handle pretty well for just lowering springs). I hate the weird slant they give the car by lowering the front more than the back and it's pretty annoying driving around where I live with a lowered car. I...
I'm actually kind of concerned about the whole automatic stiffening thing. For some reason I picture it malfunctioning or kicking in at a bad time =\ I guess I'll figure it out when I drive it, I'm not going to change the springs over right away if I choose to. Has anyone drove on...
Haha yeah a minor factor is the 4x4 ride height being ugly. But it's not that big of a deal for me as long as there's not tons of body roll and up and down motion like most cars with stock suspension I've driven =\
Ok, I am putting everything from my car into a new shell and now I have to make a little decision and was wondering what Supramania thought about it =)
The main deciding factors are convenience vs handling I think. There aren't any places that I can't go with the eibachs, I just have to go...
I did it with VHT dye in a spray can on my interior and it came out really nice and is pretty durable. I did notice the smooth pieces do not hold the color as well too, but it takes a lot to scratch it (screwdriver slipping, etc). The dash and textured or leatherish panels show no wear even with...
My car got insanely hot through the shifter hole when I had open downpipe just going up and down the street in front of my house. But I was missing the rubber cover/shift boot.
=( I was going to go to Deal's Gap/the Dragon for the rotor rally with a few friends the week I crashed my Supra. I live pretty close to it and will be going to college even closer, so if some people want to get together to go I could probably help arrange something. I've never been there but...
I'm trying to get a turbo shell that has/matches wiring because of the nightmare I had with this shell, otherwise I'd take a look at the 86.5. The 87 is a bit high for me =\ I'll check out the website, thanks for the link and notices! After seeing these wrecks I expect the Supra wasn't as bad...
Pictures:
Looks like it's dancing
Ahhh what happened to the suspensions!!!!
Poor sawblade lost its edge...
The telephone pole side
The brick wall side
The front (curb/bushes/plowed down tree side)
Antenna was bent against the brick wall, shows the angle the car was at while going...
It's strange, if it were just rear suspension damage I'd be quite happy but unfortunately it's the front. I was just about to put in a 3.73 LSD and wheel bearings in the back so if the rear suspension went out I wouldn't be too concerned as long as the frame was straight. Sadly, the frame is...
Pictures on page 3, I know that's why you're here.
And through a tree and about five bushes. :aigo:
Engine was running afterwards perfectly fine, the intercooler and all the piping even survived. I stepped out without a scratch, wondering if I had really just flown off of the road. :dunno:
I...
Wow it's finally finished! I remember seeing pictures of this car with the interior stripped out when I first bought mine a year ago and now it's all ready to go! I agree with the others, a black hood would look great on yellow. It's one of the colors I think CF hoods actually look better than a...
I love it. I think the square looking vents fit perfectly with the boxier MKIII body, I've never really liked the hood much on MKIVs. As for functionality, I think the vents on the exhaust side really will help. I currently have a hole a bit forward from that on my car's hood from a failed...
You don't need to take the heatshield off. I've had to check my boost controller lines for leaks in parking lots before and I just pull the accordian hose/AFM/filter assembly off the turbo and you can get at the wastegate and housing ports.
The wastegate one is easy to find, it's the nipple on...
