German cars do make you scratch your head more often than most. I remember the first time I slid under a Porsche 944 to disconnect the driveshaft and discovered a solid unmoving tube where it should have been O_o I don't know why they did it, and it was a pain to get off with no flex in it...
That is really cool. I'm pretty sure Porsches and some other high-end cars use a similar system, but instead of you controlling the valve with a remote it automatically opens and closes based on how far open the throttle body is.
Hi everyone, I just finished putting my engine into a new shell, a 89 turbo. The problem is this new chassis comes with progressive power steering and I can't seem to find where the wiring plug from the rack solenoid hooks up to. I'm hoping it's somewhere on the chassis harness and not the...
r/t chargers really don't have that much power and they're like 4000 lbs to boot. The power difference between an r/t and an SRT-8 is pretty big. Honestly, when I drove an r/t charger, it was nothing too impressive.
They get really really great gas mileage, especially the 6 speed. If you get a GTS it's pretty good power for a daily driver actually, the only problem is you have to be pretty high in the RPM range to use it. They're still pretty new so mileage isn't that high but everyone I know that has one...
There are at least 2 sets of 89 grey plugs. I have a feeling one set may be the yellow plugs, but colored grey. I had to redo all the pins on my harness, hopefully it'll work when I try to start it up =)
I'd never buy a 1JZ swap from tigerjapanese after seeing my "full" 7M w/ trans, ecu and harness. In short, all I really got was the 7M and trans =\ It would be a whole lot harder getting an ECU And harness for a 1JZ than a 7M.
So it turns on the wipers? I was about to say.... my wipers are pretty hard to move when they're off, and it's really not much surface area to be pushed by the wind. Still, that's pretty crazy!
My dad's SC400 actually weighs about 200 lbs less than my Supra =\ It's a bit over 3500 lbs according to the manual and my Supra was 3700ish last time I weighed it. Who knows though, I've never weighed the SC on a scale.
I think if you're looking for the greatest album overall it needs to be one where ALL the songs on it are good, and a lot of them listed just don't cut it (in my opinion of course). AC/DC has great songs overall but there are always 1 or 2 on each album I don't like. I'm finding it hard to think...
Mine started spooling way up at 3.5k when I had an exhaust manifold leak. Do you mean it's starting to go positive pressure at 3k or does it hit full boost at 3k?
That does look darker than usual. But I thought anything other than grey would be color matched to the body of the car, I didn't know Toyota decided to just slap on a bronzeish molding on some cars O_o Good luck finding some, I like the shade better than the normal grey.
From your sig pic it does look like you have grey. I'm not an expert, but an 87 would have the older molding and those didn't come color-matched in a variety of colors like the 92s did with the newer style molding. I've also never seen two different greys, even on my 89 gunmetal car it uses the...
The heavy steering is EXACTLY what eibach springs felt like to me. This was my first Supra so I just thought it was normal. In some ways I liked it, being able to feel every bump in the road and having sensitive steering has its good points, but overall I felt like the car was "difficult to...
