mine never did, it was just a pinhole type leak at the corner of the block/head junction. id think that mine was a rare case though. i innitially thought it was the 90 hose
considering i have 5 cars and 3 motorcycles. and a girlfriend that also drives most of them...it would take some complicated math to figure that out.

pick up a stripe removal tool they are available at most body shop supply places
commonly refered to as a eraser wheel. makes removal a breeze and wont hurt the paint.
system was backflushed and cleaned when the engine was installed 400 miles ago, will try swapping the lines on the vac switch tomorrow and see what it does.
i have a weird problem with my winter beater. i have power steering at idle up to about 2100rpm after 2100 it goes stiff like there is no belt on it.

wont last long, that was my first thought as well, but the hole/nut isnt captured very tightly and has no bottom so it is hard to get a helicoil to stay put. i even tried epoxy it just would not stay put very long.
wow we all seem to have the same idea, dropped the coolant this last weekend, on stands in the garage right now, lots of parts on the way... more to be ordered on payday

if you want to cut the inner panel and weld it back in place, bodywork, paint...yes
you could do what i did.. but it is risky and might hurt your paint...but it is junk anyway soit is worth a try
