charcoal canister delete on the mk3 bad?

I would love to know this as well, not too easy to shop for 1jz OEM parts in this part of the world. I read through that tech article that jetjock posted, and in the testing of the evap system, it mentions that a properly functioning system should flow around 25L. My question then, or more a...

    1jz intercooler size

Hitting full boost at 3500 on stock twins? I gotta ask a couple questions, I have a hunch: -What altitude are you at? -Do you still have the stock y-pipe? I hit full boost about 3000 rpm, usually starts around 2500-2800, but it comes on pretty suddenly, and I'm at 6500' elevation. In Vegas...

Widebody: S2 front fenders and Kaze Aerocraft rear fenders (Shineautoproject Replica)

I may run 11's for clearance peace of mind, as well as less unsprung weight. As far as tire prices go, prepare to have your mind blown: For 17's: http://www.discounttiredirect.com/direct/tires/nitto/product/submitProductSize.do?pc=40524&tmn=NT05&typ=Passenger%2FPerformance For 18's...

    1JZ Y pipe & OEM Engine Mount

Did you get this figured out? I didn't have this problem on my car, but I have solid mounts, they're fairly thin...

    Wanted Supra mk3 7mgte (NOOB!!)

I'll add only a couple things, the rest you're better off lurking and reading for the time being. -Mileage is very much a reflection of your driving habits. Just yesterday I got 27.5 mpg on a 210 mile trip, cruising anywhere from 65-110 (brief stint on the high end of that). I believe I could...

    Diff oil Question

I think there is Royal Purple in my diff, but I honestly forget, it's been so long since I changed the fluid. Might check the oils and lubricants sub-forum, search through there. I believe you can run MT-90 in the diff as well, but don't quote me on that.

    Thermostats..

Can't say I've ever had one that went bad on me, but I don't put many miles on my cars either. Always a good idea to test them before you put them in though, just so you're sure it works. ;)

What did you do to your supra today? Pics

Turns out you CAN polish a turd! :p Just kidding man, looks good, bet your elbow is sore though... You know, I always said I would rock a Pink Miata if it had a 1000 hp that was useable under the hood. That you're almost doing it though (minus all the power), I dare say, you might be more a...

charcoal canister delete on the mk3 bad?

This post reminds me that I have an off topic post to write up on the subject. Thanks 3p! As always with the vague posts haha... I am curious where your interest lies in the subject then. Only other thing I haven't seen mentioned is that if you just remove the canister but don't vent the line...

    2011 V6 mustang vs Stock 1JZ?

Biggest reason I can remember is that we tend to frown on bench racing: http://www.supramania.com/forums/showthread.php?51013-No-more-quot-how-will-my-car-do-against-XXX-quot-threads. Just go out and make it happen. If you lose, you lost in a 20 year old Toyota to a car with significantly more...

    This can't be right - excessive blow-by?

Looking over your build, I'm beginning to think you might be better off in the long run investing in some good ear plugs/muffs. :p I remember reading up on that when you suggested that the last time I saw you post about it. Kinda shitty from what I learned about it.

    Monster-Performance 9.73 @ 140mph

If you don't mind my asking, have you done any weight reduction so far? I mean, if for nothing else than to counter the weight of the driver's huge brass balls? That's gotta be a fun ride... EDIT: I mean the car, not the balls, the fun ride bit... :nono:

Curious where you got that idea? Looks like a pretty serious car though, congrats Pablo. :)

King of Europe at the Slovakia Ring

Might be a local issue, but I couldn't get the video to go full screen unless I went to Vimeo's site. Aside from that, not a bad video. Makes me wonder how fast some of those cars would be if they were setup for proper circuit racing. I mean, I know a lot of what they do is in the suspension...

    UTI MKIII 7M build

Still, for a ball bearing turbo that isn't exactly tiny, that price is pretty... err, wait. How much extra is that BB CHRA? If it's more than $100, you might as well save up for a slightly larger turbo unless you like keeping things "stock" appearing. ;)

    Saved from the crusher

The last Z I rode in with a 7m was Andy (ARZ)'s 240, it dyno'd 486whp that year on a similar setup, and holy ballsacks... It was so stupidly fast that I'm still kinda ruined on my perception of what "fast" is.

Upgraded rad and fan for 2j?

Did not know about the SC400 running them, have honestly never looked under the hood of one. My 1uz is attached to a clutch fan, I figured they all were. I'll have to check my power steering pump and see if there are any extra nipples on mine. The lack of a hydro fan might explain why the...

New to 1JZ swap idea, please help

Ever been there? Other than the heat in the peak of summer (only ~120°... in the shade), the place is pretty much ideal for sports cars. Nice smooth roads, a few tracks to play with, a great car scene, minimal legal regulations that prevent you from having an awesome car. Oh, and the women...

How to Replace a MKIII Driveshaft Carrier Bearing for $50

DrDucttape, there is a very good reason that was only $10... I mean if it works, awesome, but if not, you'll know why. ;)

    4h1

You're not even gonna tell us what 4H1 is? You're an ass, you know that? :p Medium brown metallic, for those of you who don't have the time to Google that. Good looking color, I haven't seen too many of them, I've known of about 12-15 people who have had them at one point or another. Only seen...
