Very much agreed IJ. Although I will say that my buddy's FC RX7 picked up quite a bit of response as a result of removing its emissions bits, and oddly enough, his fuel economy has been surprisingly decent for a rotary that isn't treated kindly.

Latest minor update, just got a box in the mail yesterday, with my flapper discs. Face shield came in last week, so work on cleaning up the worse rust will commence tomorrow I think. Gonna try and get this one out of the way so we can focus on the Supra (the 87 widebody-to-be) in the spring time. ;)

Define a hard start. Is it not cranking when you turn the key? Does it sputter when it's trying to fire up? Do you have any stored codes on the check engine light? To diagnose it, I would recommend (if possible) using a known working igniter. Not like you can remove it from the system to...

Some places are very lax on what they'll allow on their roads. I would be willing to bet you could get away with it where I live, as long as the car has something that resembles a VIN on it in an official, legit-looking manner. I wouldn't recommend driving it anywhere where it IS an issue...
