IJ, it sounds like a normal turbo whistle, Nothing like death whine. Id say its normal operation noises. It's a new sound to me after running low boost for so long due to clutch issues, boost cut etc etc. And IJ, only when she wants to be ;) The car doesn't scare her lol.. must mean i need more...

The manual 5 speed loom has a loop in it (connects from the engine loom to the gearbox plug...well the one i have does anyway) The manual loom should plug into the auto engine loom and give you reverse lights and disable neutral start (it does with the looms i have anyway) You'll want to find...

Sounds like starter motor trigger wire attenuation, Common problem. Before i replaced my engine loom i wired in a relay and it fixed the issue, There is alot of information on it once you know what you're looking for.

Agreed, The actuator diaphragm is a bit small as well. I've got mine to the point where im happy with it. I can confirm i had air leaks from the turbo housing, using RTV on the housing seems to have a positive improvement.
