I asked about them on Instagram. They are Hella 90mm halogen lights. Not sure if they are the Classic or Premium style lights though, Rodel? Eventually I want to copy these headlights but the Premium lights are double the price. Still way cheaper then the Xenon or LEDs though.

They still have them, I got a quote on one from Toyota not long ago. Part #86336-14350 List price $68 (Canadian) I haven't bought it yet because I wasn't sure if it came with the drum. It would be a real pain if it didn't.

I also tried rinsing it out, shaking it violently and letting it soak in soapy water overnight but like you said, the dirt doesn't break down enough to rinse out. I used the Nissan stuff. It was expensive but seems like the right stuff to use. One roll will do both tail lights.

Plastic + solvent... I wouldn't risk it.

Not sure how I'm going to melt it all back together. I don't think it will seal properly if I use hot water again. I'll try using a heat gun and see how that goes.

Basically what he is saying is, do this: Those are my tail lights as of right now and it's a real PITA job. Getting all the original glue out takes hours, I started rushing and broke one of the lenses inside so I bought another tail light and started over. It will be worth it in the end...

I wouldn't be taking any long trips for the first 1500 miles. Switch to a straight 30W motor oil and change the oil and filter often. Regular motor oil has to many detergents and additives to allow the the rings to seat properly. Here is a little reading for you that explains this plus more on...
