    Oil Drain Plug

You really put an impact on something that gets 9 lb/ft of torque?:aigo: Or whatever it is. Cant say I have done that, but I know you arent the first.

    oil grade?

That isnt true. And they arent suggestions, but specifications. Unless you radically change the rpm limits and how much time it spends in that range, there is no difference. A truely good way to get rodknock. Nothing like pancake syrup type viscosity when it is 20 degrees out.

You know you're a Supra owner when...

Somebody actually told me my 91 looks like a Probe the other day. I was showing him the pictures. I dont get it. The first gen Probe like the first gen Supra are both a basic wedge, but it ends right there.

    Heads: 7mgte vs 7mge

Not to mention the fact that the 7M head is a much better performing head.

To build a reliable 400hp 7m supra, I need a detailed what would you do.

What engine to use? Besides the 7MGTE? Bone stock with a new OEM headgasket torqued to 75 or so lb/ft with PROPER MAINTENANCE will have no problem maintaining 400 flywheel horsepower.

    what oil would you prefer?

Yep. Then the perp running something that flows less than 5 or 10 says, "well it was a 7M, it was going to get rodknock anyway, I probably delayed it" or some other horeshit like that.

    Tranny question

The trans for the 7MGE and 7MGTE are both the A340E. There are small differences in the GTE to help it hold the extra torque. The later trans was upgraded again. The A341 is the V8 trans with a tall first gear. You dont want it.

Low oil pressure or faulty gauge?

If you havent lost any volume, then the clearances in the bearings have opened up too much.

The official 'I hate christmas' thread...

:icon_roll I suppose the Hawaiian hang loose sign is also Satanic becuase it is similar to the goat head found in Satanic bible.

n/a head on a turbo block???

If you go to the 7M Power site, you can see the combos used to make 400+ rwhp. There are quite a few.

    Coolant temp sensor

For future refrence, the Toyota Electrical Wiring Diagram, or EWD for short is a great tool to have.

    what oil would you prefer?

All of the name brand dino oils are high quality today, even Penzoil and Quaker State. 10W-30, or 5W-30 if you live in an area where under 30 F is a common occurance.

    T4 Downpipe??

What specific turbocharger is it? That will determine what you need.

    Trans Troubles...help ....please?

What he said. And those brass rings have pointed edges with an indentation on top to hold the trans in the gear you have selected. When you grind a lot, that is the noise you hear. Not the gears, but the clutching teeth. So when grind, they get rounded, and the trans will pop out of gear...

    5w-50?

Good to hear you are getting correct info. Im actually tired of repeating myself at times.

    cam position sensor

Since the gear is helical cut and not straight, you acutally put it in slightly off center so it rotates into position when pushed forward. Having the bracket line up right is just a matter of holding the unit right. Practice is about the only solution, unless you know somebody who has...

    Electric Fan Mod

There are two electric fans that aid cooling the condenser when the A/C is running. One is next to the fan clutch, the other is on the front. The electric fan will not move as much air as a proper working fan clutch, but it will free up some hp.

    Code 51 last night

Seems like the definition is incorrect voltage with the idle contacts closed. Most TPS's that go bad get a spot worn on the potentiometer.
