While I like to point out that the car has coil over shocks from the factory, not struts, many people, including Toyota will interchange terms. Hence, them calling the mount a bearing. It isnt a bearing because it does not bear any sort of a load.
For free it is a good idea. I did it because I have piles of car parts and full technician tool set. Mine looks like the one on the first page, not as big a port as the one on this page.
In terms of performance, just get a high flow elbow with your turbo, or the integrated elbow/pipe...
The Cressida has a different set of cams also. Well, the exhaust might be the same. But I remeber the part number being different from the 86.5-88 Supra. In addition to the intake, and the Cressida's exhaust is even more ridiculous than the Supra.
Use the Supra engine if you can.

Tell him the Really Slow (RS) stock is competition for your car. Becuase it is. And if your car runs right, you will kick his 4.3 ass.
Your problem could be a valve body problem. That usually doesnt require a teardown to check either. The pan will get pulled, after DTC's are checked. If somebody else does it that is.
I suggest you read some of the FAQ's and follow the link to the Toyota Supra repair manual online, or TSRM. You will find the fusable links in the power distribution chart, and more specifically, in the component locator.
