Fel-Pro makes nice gaskets. In fact, they do make many OEM big name gaskets. Do they ship to Japan? I think not.

Fuel cut happens when the airflow meter hits a certain frequency under certain conditions. If you are not putting the air through the engine, which is a huge restriction, flow goes way up, and you hit fuel cut quickly. That is why it could be an intake leak.
Or your set up is moving more air...

Limp mode was used for a short period of time, but caused pollution, the one thing it was trying to stop. Limp mode was used when a critical input was lost, so timing and injector duration were set a fixed levels.
