The blower motor is more likely than the control unit. It is an easy check. You can even use a test light. Un plug the connector, it is a three wire under the dash on the right side.
As you change fan speed, the light will get brighter/dimmer.

I preach this often for a reason. They are the nicest diagrams I know of. They are accurate, detailed and very specific. And the book also gives TCCS control functions, as the wiring connects the ECU to every thing in the car.

Now that this thread is hijacked....that isn't true. You said you didn't know how to do the test, I said find somebody that does, there is no shame in paying a mechanic, and you took that personal somehow.
I guess the same way the weather man does. Finding a turbo, lubing and spooling it won't be easy after you get the equipment. Post what you find if you don't mind.
