Ignition doesn't change your air fuel ratio (CO). A vacuum leak would make you leaner, not richer. An over priced Toyota cat will pass emissions. As will other aftermarket that cost more than $99.
I have used a commercial Castrol flush kit. It came with aluminum bottles of the solvent and adapters to pressurize the fluid. This was used for "field repairs", and I suppose your driveway if you know what to do. You will also need a vacuum pump. The pump alone saves thousands over a new A/C...
And flat. Flat first, because it applies to all head gaskets, composite or metal. If it isn't flat, it will fail in time. I am not sure how the metal one would do. It can leak and not fail I suppose.
You realize this question can only be answered by a biased opinion. For example, of course it isn't worth it. Why spend all that extra money to make the car slower in the quarter? Have the valve body redone, and the torque converter loosened up.
"T04B" and "T04E" as well as Super 60, 60-1 and 62-1 refers to the compressor only. Sorry. T4 or T3 refers to the hot side, or turbine as it is correctly called.
I have no adivce on changing turbine impellers in the CT26 housing other than I don't think you should. You will get more flow and...
Year, make and model? The later crossover cars were heavier still. Road and Track put the 89 hard top with a 5 speed on a scale and it was 3772 with a curb weight listed at 3620.There is about 40 lbs not accounted for if you take out the fuel weight. Threads like this make me think I should give...
No.
I missed the turbine upgrade. :nono: And for a second I thought you were just really dense. When that wasn't the problem. I was refering to the compressors available. You don't change turbine wheels. Get a larger hotside.
I put my car on the loaded Mustang dyno and it laid down 255 at 10 psi. A customer was in the shop looking to turbocharge his Z. The operator said to him they lay down 210 rwhp consistently on the Mustang dyno. Don't try to factor the difference between the Dynojet and Mustang. Just note the...
My fan clutch ejected its viscous fluid. I was wanting an excuse for the Tundra/Tacoma w5000 lb tow package fan clutch. It came in today. Immediate difference over stock when it didnt't leak. My A/C is colder on fresh. Of note, it has cooling fins (heat sink) on the whole body, where as the...
If you are going to 295 on the high side with 200 at steady cruise, you have an airflow problem over the condensor. I can't really see anything else that would rise like that. Unless Toyota chooses not to say that in temps of 110-120 in Phoenix that is normal. For example, GM says 300 psi in...
Any reason you didn't get a Canton or lower cost perma cool relocation adapter? The hold down plate in the right front is a good spot. My filter mount is there, as is others I have seen on this site.
The pressure gauge would show you. Think of your suction and discharge in that respect. If your condenser was clogged by something, you would have really high pressure because of discharge being blocked. But because the low is really low, the suction is blocked. Does the low go to vacuum?
