Waterfalls after the engine cools from a good warm drive.

They also have 16 psi cap. It will hold better for all reasons. And raise the boiling point. So instead of going to the resevoir sooner, more coolant will be in the convection system.

    timing adance or retard

There are what Toyota calls match marks that you need to line up with the groove. Do it, and you will be straight on. Keep in mind the curved tooth, it will move when you push it in. Account for it when you line up the match marks.

    timing adance or retard

Are you asking about ignition timing from the CPS (distributor) or the cam/engine timing? Engine should be straight up, igntion should be 10. Changing the distributor also changes the injection timing.

You really need to look at the fuel pump/circuit, and make sure you have power to the injectors. The ECU supplies the ground which it seems you know. I doubt you lost all the grounds independently.

    FML, as they say

This is why I am scared to even drive the car sometimes. Parts will get even more scarce in time. Then there is clowns like below in the truck. That is why the Yukon is the DD. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WfjqMuR8oYo

    7MGTE egr or no egr

Right. right. Right. The fuel isn't changed from EGR, it is changd from the load and speed. Right. It doesn't increase detonation like the myth that rumored the Supra community for a long time and wouldn't go away. It is inert.

Won't maintain idle on 91 Auto Turbo

I think you Canucks are also suffering through serious heat right now. That is the problem. There might be no actual defect other than the fuel pump is old and doesn't deliver all the volume it needs. Say only 95% at low speed, and you vapor lock. The system has a built in correction for it...

    No Start,,Yea another one

The injectors don't crank the engine. The starter does. The injectors will not pulse without an airflow meter signal from running, or the starter crank signal. I think you left a ton of information from your original post. Pull codes if your engine cranks over but doesn't start.

    7MGTE egr or no egr

The fuel determined is from the load and rpm sensors. EGR displaces air, not fuel. Causing a very light stumble compared to not having it. This lowers combustion temps and NOx. This thread is up to more than 50 posts now and should have been answered.

Or you trimed the airflow meter signal to raise overboost fuel cut.

The 9.4x car from Besttrans, you know, the one from Pinks "only" had a T76. I don't think that turbo can hit 1000 on the 7M. I could be wrong. Your goal seems possible.

    Auto or manuel

I don't think it is cost effecient if you spend money to go slower. You are a long way from being the only one that wants direct control over engine speed. I do see your desire. It just isn't for me.

You won't get an improvement in milage or power unless your current set up is not good enough and you had slight misfire. It shows up on a dyno and even better with a 4 or 5 gas analyzer.

    New 7M Install

Why aren't you going to a remote filter? It makes oil changes much easier, and you can install a better cooler and thermostat.

Rich's Garage. Other work being done

In the world of automotive forums, I can't take things at anything other than face value. Otherwise, you just assume they mean something else, only to find out later they didn't...

    New 7M Install

While I didn't do work on the 7M at work (Toyota just couldn't sell volume in the US) I can't say I saw the other engines needing it done. We mostly did the 3VZE (V06 headgasket) headgaskets and had warped decks every now and then. We sent them out and did the resassembly.

Did you get a new cover? I am only on about the 3rd page. The missing grommet is another problem. Mine is exactly the same, and has the same missing grommet. Look at the other holes for the studs on the inside if you haven't already.

Torque wrenches. You have seen the repair manual say to tighten a bolt to 29 lb/ft? The smaller one tells him that. Provided it isn't inches. The larger one is for larger bolts with more torque.

    Rear BBK anyone?

With our without ABS? I jumped the gun on that one. All cars have valves that put a small amount of brake fluid to the rear first to prevent lock up. Then the front is added. It is probably integraded on the ABS cars and many Turbo models have ABS.

    Ct26 Turbine Upgrades

The Garrett webpabe doesn't post much info on the T4 family anymore, but it is still in the catalog. Just as an FYI, GT turbos used to be NGT. As in New Garrett Technology, and the NGT was changed to GT because it sounds better. The compressors work better, period. But that doesn't mean the good...
