The only thing I can see running an external gate for is to run more boost than the internal gate would allow. On our cars you're blowing nothing but hot air before that point...
Just trying to burst the bubble that this kind of technology is nothing new, and has been around for damn near forever (technicly the forums are instant anyway).
If those are ECU boxes on top of the engine it wouldn't be that hard. Just means it's not hidden (but damn it makes the engine look ugly, looks like they're working out of GM's book)
