To the OP: Did you use the stock headbolts? Did it blow between the cylinders (sounds like that's what you're describing)? What other mods (turbo, boost, ect)?
For what it's worth if it was stock everything and the stock headbolt...
Unless you're going for broke for a crazy car, money is better spent elsewhere...
It's not dangerous as if you're spending that much on the kit you're going to take the time to get everything balanced far better than a stock motor.
I'm going to be nice and say this. Will the H4 rebased HID's work good with E-code housings? Yes, they glare less than a good rewire normal halogen with DOT housings.
BUT The chinese rebased HID kits are GARBAGE. The ballasts are shit, the controller is shit, the actuators are shit, and...
The torque is from the smaller cam and faster spooling turboes (VVTI excluded). The VVTI will show a better curve because that's what VVTI was developed to do ;)
