buy a used one for 200/300 USD from soneone selling it. I paid 250 for my diff to be dropped replace all bearings & Oil but the clutch packs and everthing else was fine. And i'm at 196K Miles.

Get an electric one, if my memory servs me correctly Mechanical Oil & Fuel Pressure gauges are illegal to run in cabin. It can cause fires and burn you very bad. I would NOT! do it and yes it is VERY UNSAFE.

Steel would be cheaper then the 404$ dollar aluminum but 11lb's vs 17lb's people love to have lighter. I think steel would run you 250/300 at most aluminum your lucky @ 300 and above
