i had a similar problem, what i did was go to an autoparts store buy a bundle of fuses for 10/15 bucks and changed ALL of them then it worked. Now if something blows i just look at the cover and find out which one.

replace them? They aren't expensive lol. my 89 & 88 T both have working hood & tailgate struts. Original too.

it either means a few things. 1. You have to spend money on parts that need to be changed. 2. You spent some money on some aftermarket parts and can't wait to test them out :)

from what i've read, the turbo's only blow if you OVER boost them because of their coating and material they are sensitive to high boost. Not sure what the block weights or what its made of but i believe it is lighter then the 7M. Most people go Single turbo if they blow their turbo's or just...

agreed 280 stock hp and 267.64 ft.lbs. doesn't look too bad. stock 7m = 232 stock hp and 254 ft lb's of tq. numbers are just estimated but still. i agree

from what i was told, the sensors at the T-stat housing are the only ones you'd have to change everything else works

89 is a basturd year, some got older style harnesses and ecu's some got new so thats where you should start with. Did the 89 have yellow or gray connectors for the ECU? If yellow you need 87-88 harness gray 89+.

i drove with my targa off EVERY DAY during the spring/summer/and autum when it was nice out. Easy way for you lazy folk. Is when you park only screw down 1 bolt so no one can take ur top off. Flip the vixors so you can remember your targa is loose. Then just unscrew it and put it in the trunk...
