Is the woodruff key (WK) supposed to fit on the crank pretty snug? the WK slot on my crank is really worn out. I can wobble the key left and right really good. oh, and the dampner was pretty easy to wobble off the crank snout. is this a sign of bad things?
i was thinking the same thing. i heard that FC turboII had NipponDenso 550cc's that'll swap right into 7mgte's. not sure about the impeadance though. maybe someone here can confirm that.
besides lexus mod? FCD. but lots of people have bad vibes against that. i was running an HKS FCD with my upgraded CT26 with garret 50trim wheel. that turbo loved 18psi. and if i were to do it all over again i wouldn't have upgraded to 550cc injectors. i would've just run the 440's. and...
yeah i read that on their site... the 10% better than stock thing. i would look for another brand injectors too if i read that. Hmm. but when i bought mine 7years ago and they were advertised as modified stockers running 550cc's.
so if they're rated at a defacto of 43.5psi then that...
you know what i think, i think it's whatever is in fashion for the season. and Venom never really made a statement like some of the other brands.
kinda reminds me of the clutch/pressure plate line up. first there Centerforce people swore by them. up until ACT came out. all of a sudden...
heh, i did buy them brand new. :hs: yeah but hey... they're cheap and reworked stockers to flow 550cc's. They came pretty close. Oh, and my Map-ecu came in today. Still need to pull the 7mgte and build that up. I'm in no hurry though since it's on of my toys.
Ok, I picked up my injectors from www.fuelinjection.com . So do they flow 550cc's? No. According to their calculations they flow around 528cc/min at 118cc's in 15seconds at 35psi fuel pressure. With more fuel pressure than what they tested the injectors these Venoms will flow 550cc injectors...
i have a set of Venom python 550cc injectors. while racing down the dragstrip i missed third and over-revved... bouncing off the rev limiter. after that run it turned out my car has low compression in cylinder #1. this happened years ago. my Supra awaits me in my garage to fix up... which...
I have a precision turbo 62e .60a/r compressor & .69a/r T4 on center turbine side.
I was looking in to getting one of those Megan Racing SS manifolds when the revised one was done and in store. I have another route i'm looking at taking. Thought about having MDCmotorsports me make a T4...
blue smoke on decel could also be faulty valve seals. while you're at it do a compression test as well. you don't just want to replace the turbo and still have the smokey problem. rule the simple stuff out first.
if you haven't bought the Lex AFM and 550's yet i would really consider going with the full blown MAFTPro set up. just max out your 440's, then upgrade them to 550's later. just turn the boost up and tune to the 550's at a later time. don't spend money on the Lex AFM if you only going to sell...
that's cool, sounds like you're on your way to a decent set up. after reading that long thread about the MAFTPro i would go that route. use it like an SAFCII, but upgrade to speed density later on down the line. i going with the MAP-ecu unit myself. if i would have read about the MAFT sooner...
yeah, i was thinking that turbo is good for about that HP... which is really good. it'll definately put out more HP than an upgraded CT26. .58a/r makes for an excellent streetable turbo if you ask me. what will you be using to tune?
i used to have an upgraded CT26 with a garrett T04e "50" trim wheel. it was a great little turbo, and spooled up quick. ended up running 13.10's @ 111mph. if i were to run on drag radials i could have busted 12's, but my engine messed up before i could go out and get some DR's.
what size...
well, it's just that i bought one and i'm expecting it soon. i need to have my motor rebuilt first so i was going to hit him up and ask for help if i needed any. i'll go through the manual to the fullest extent, but if i get stumped i want to be able to ask someone for help. that's all. i'll...
