First off, I'm not intimidated to try a build like that. I'm just don't have the money to do so. My intentions were not to flame you guys for trying as mentioned in my first post, "honestly, I don't see this 600-700rwhp project happening on that budget. I'd like to see you prove me/us wrong...
The challenge has been set. Will they get her done with their budget, or part out their car after they've gone through their money? Stay tuned for the next couple of months for this exciting episode of.... "THE 700RWHP MKIII ON A KOOL-AID BUDGET!!"
I don't want to be the mean guy either, but you were getting left behind from the get go. I really wish all three of you could have been lined up and took off together. It would have really shown the outcome a little better. They were putting carlengths on you though.
Flip the coin. If...
If you visit the "authorized vendors" section on the forums you'll find some vendors with exhaust manifolds. Just check out each vendors forum and search their website. Have fun.
Please tell me again why my HKS FCD is a no no. I was running one for a couple of years before I over revved at the strip and broke the ringlands on #1 pistons. So, why are those FCD so bad?
You only have one mechanic in your town? Do you have a radiator shop? Maybe you can take off your own radiator, take it to a shop, pressure test, find the leak, and seal it. I guess.
a 500+fwhp Civic should run mid 10's @ 130+mph traps. that's gonna be one hell of a car to beat if he does pull off his HP goal.
R154 internals prolly won't hold up to the task. TH400 tranny swap would be the answer. Don't forget about brakes to stop the beast. Suspension and maybe mild...
If you pull the motor out you might as well go through it and replace rod&main bearings, hone with rings, and valve job. Possibly replace your clutch, pressure place, resurface flywheel, and pilot bearing. It would be a shame to have it out and not do those things.
Or just drop the subframe...
Seeing that they offer many other turbo kits for other cars ask if they can swap the turbo for another one. Something with a .58-.69 tang housing. Never hurts to ask.
Yeah, something like this. I have no experience with a unit like that. Sorry.

Does 6:1 mean a rising rate of 6psi for every psi of boost? If so then I would think that that would be alot of fuel pressure. At the end of 5psi of boost you'll be up at 30psi...
BAH! Witch hunters... all of you! I'm planning on upgrading to 720cc's soon. Yeah, I might go with the other guys. My Venoms served me well for years as a daily driver, and many passes down the dragstrip. I didn't have a problem with mine. I even took mine to get checked before I...
Well after 7 years of running my Venoms I haven't had any problems with mine. Sorry your brother did. I must have the only set of Venoms that haven't failed on people. So you mean to tell me that other brand injectors have never had a problem? Out of thousands of injectors sold by the other...
At 200K miles I think any brand fuel injector would be in question. You guys post up stuff that you have no facts about. When Will Neely went through 6 motors not one of you thought about putting fault on his injectors. Not one! But if for some reason he was running Venom fuel injectors you...
No no, that's just pics of the tear down. Of course I'm replacing them. Just need to work some massive overtime so I can afford to do so without tapping into my emergency savings. Don't want to freak out the wife.
If Venoms are reworked stockers then I guess we can all fear our stock 440cc Nippon Denso's will fail at the same rate too right? So we should all toss our junk stockers and upgrade.
BTW, have you had any experience with these injectors? Did your engine fail because a set of these? Please...
I will tell you this, my set of Venom 550cc injectors flowed 528cc's when I took them in for cleaning. All six were within 1% flow tolerance of each other, so were their impedence. They weren't quite 550cc's, overall I'm happy with them. Being that they're reworked stockers I don't see why...
