Good post man! I've always liked having a nice system in my Supras, but rarely listen to them when the intoxicating sound of the turbo and exhaust is filling my ears :)

I really liked my experience with Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3's, but that wasn't on a Supra... they were bought more with agility and handling in mind, and in that respect, they were amazing. :D

Can't really say about the oil thing, but your coolant capacity for any motor should be determined by how much you can fit in the radiator after burping the car, correct? On my Mk2, used a tool of some sort (can't remember the name at the moment) that connected to the top of the radiator and...

I'm wondering the same thing myself... I mean, you can't beat that price with a stick. The turbo I was looking into (PT6262) is about $1400 ALONE. Gonna run the twins for a bit just to get the car moving and to get a feel for both twins and single... but definitely going single at some point soon!

I ended up going with Jhot on my 1jz. Was gonna go 2j, but happened to find a JZA70 1jz motor/trans set in a spreadsheet of their inventory. Really helpful folks over there, I got mine from their Georgia warehouse. Better act quick though if you're gonna go through the GA Jhot, they're closing...

First off, the auto (A340) and 5 speed (n/a, W58) transmissions on Mk3's and Mk4's are very similar, if not the same. The only difference is the turbo cars, where the Mk3 had a 5 speed (R154) and the Mk4 had a 6 speed (V160, I believe). As far as your wiring goes, I'm not all that sure you...

I can't imagine ECU's for 2jz's are all that hard to pick up these days, just gotta find one that will work for your application. Honestly, I'm about 98% sure that I'm gonna be going standalone off the bat. I really don't feel like dealing with piggy backs, and for a 'few dollars more'... :)

I believe somebody mentioned that suspension and tires really make these cars shine? I'll more than vouch for that. Even with tires that were more intended for dealing with weather than turns, the suspension I had on my n/a would allow me to throw that piggy of a car around like it was 1000lbs...
