Flex joint is overrated. Stock DP from the factory didn't have one. Engine doesn't twist that much to "break" the exhaust. And if it does then you need to look at some motor mount replacements. Besides, you have rubber hangers throughout the exhaust that compensates for the engine movement...

Before you start tearing down anything, check your crank pulley bolt. Make sure it's tight. A loose one will wobble and hit the crank in such a frequency that it'll sound like that. But yeah, it sounds like RK.
