    '89 Supra with a turbo LS1

Heh, wish this had been for sale when I bought my car... Enjoy that Holden in disguise. ;)

Tips on removing stock y pipe???????

Glad to help. What I offered though is just the outline of how to do this... I won't say it's gonna be easy, by any means. Hopefully the tips in here will make it a little less likely that you're gonna want to rip your hair out before it's said and done. ;)

Very odd problem with my 1jz!

Try holding your gas just a bit when you're starting it up. My ISCV is picky and likes to stick closed sometimes when it's cold, and will do some rather similar things. If it is your ISCV there should be a set screw that you can adjust to the left of the throttle body to keep your throttle...

Coilover help and suggestion! please urgent!

I've been running Megans for about a year or so of 'on the road' time that my car's been, well, on the road. Can't say I have any complaints, honestly. They're not *quite* as stiff as my Eibach/Koni yellow setup was, but the adjustability is nice, particularly if you live somewhere where crappy...

    Cheapest Supra Coilover

Sorry man, no pics of it that low, I actually did that by accident. This led me to writing up a 'how to adjust your coilovers the correct way' tech tip for AZSC. If you're looking for low and cheap, why not just cut and weld a set of stock springs? Makes baby Jesús cry whenever someone cuts...

Thanks man, hopefully someone will benefit from all my 'duh' moments someday. :p

    Cheapest Supra Coilover

Bought my car with Megan Racing Track coilovers, can adjust from full on 4x4 rally car height to low enough that I was tucking 275's in the front by about 1". Nose at that height was about 3.5" from the ground, with the stock lip. I don't recommend driving with it like that though... That said...

Tips on removing stock y pipe???????

If you're wanting to change out the y-pipe with that ebay special one, I say go for it if you're in no particular hurry to drive your car tomorrow. It took us a couple days to get it done because we underestimated our opponent (my particular mk3), when, had we thought it through as being one of...

I feel like a complete IDIOT!!

Got a reply from the Admin over on AZSC, he asked me to post this up for him: "The reason for the site being down is the docs.azsupracentral.com is actually hosted on a different server entirely. Due to high web loads from a few of the sub domains we chose to move docs.azsupracentral.com and...

    6 speed manual into mk3

To answer your question here, go with a 3.73 differential, from the 89-92 turbos. At ~400hp you're gonna need about 12-14 seconds to run through the first three gears, at least on a 1jz... 2j I can't really say. I shift at around 7k, gets me up to ~110mph. If you you really think that's shifting...

    Speedo Cable for JZA70

Errr... I'm pretty sure the cluster side of things is the only difference here. Look at a USDM cluster, MPH is on 'top' but you can see/convert it to KPH 'underneath' that, within the MPH ring, follow me? That said, I could be completely wrong, I've never seen a JDM cluster up close...

    is this possible?????

I ran my harness through the speedometer opening, but had to open it up a bit, so we used tin snips and cut a slightly bigger hole. I believe we were able to re-use the grommet too. Might be a good time to replace your speedo cable too, those are a bitch to get at *after* the fact. ;) Also, you...

    1jz vacuum line question

For what it's worth, the stock boost gauge is an electronic gauge. I also have an Autometer mechanical boost gauge, it reads directly off vacuum/boost levels, and there is no delay like the stock gauge. Also explains why the stock gauge has a sensor with wiring hooked up to it. ;) I checked my...

    1jz vacuum line question

Sean, I'd love to help ya out here man, but my setup is kinda Frankensteined, we got vacuum where we needed and where we could, so mine isn't exactly factory anymore, but it works for my particular setup. I'm pretty sure we hooked up the turbo pressure sensor to one of those nipples, even though...

Hah, NEVER! I don't sleep... Just about to reply to your PM on AZSC actually. I'm a bit of a night creature for the last few years, it works for me. Contacting me from 6am-2pm though? Forget it. :p

6.5 rear seat speaker pods available now with pics!!

Have you gotten them back yet? I'm still waiting on depth measurement (actual physical size of the pod) to make sure it'll clear my cage. If it will, I'm definitely in for the GB...

    1jz swap info?

Always better to keep heat IN the pipes, so if you can swing the extra $50, it's a good idea. ;) Also, $68 currently on Driftmotion for that throttle cable. Camry one from a junkyard costs about $5, but it won't be the prettiest thing. Truth be told I don't even notice mine anymore.
