    Wierd no boost issue

No boost at all though? Perhaps one of your intercooler pipes has busted off at the couplings... I know my 1j's done that a couple times, once it was very loud and unsurprising (forgot to tighten the clamp enough, sounded like a gunshot haha), and the second time it must have just slipped off...

    7M VS ACR Viper

Nice man... roll your windows up next time though. ;) Seriously though, your car has some nice 4th gear pull, I gotta say.

    Illegal Exhaust Ticket... Again.

Sounds like it's time to vote with your tax dollars... I for one would NOT move east of the Mississippi, it's so much better out west, for the most part. And for what it's worth, I can hear my neighbor's Buick start up from across the street, and he's like 700 years old, it's not a loud car. I...

    1jz exhaust opinions

Hey guys, looking into replacing my current catback (RS-R GTII) with something quieter. Love the sound of the GTII in typical day to day driving, but it sucks after about 100 miles of a road trip... Basically, I want something that is reasonably quiet at cruise. Full on 'punch it Chewie' sound...

    Illegal Exhaust Ticket... Again.

RIGHT HERE... you should have fought this. Did he have any quantitative measurements of how loud your car was? I tell this to the people who tell me I have the music on too loud at work: Turn your hearing aid down then. Seriously man, everybody's a little different, but the law isn't exactly...

    Wheel Fitment & Question Thread

I see the pics, that's why I ask... I may be a bit conventional in my thinking that if you're only gonna run a 235, you might as well run a 7" wheel and save yourself all that unsprung mass, but that's the driver in me talking. Any benefit other than looking a bit silly to have a wheel that...

    Hood strut defect?

Hey guys, I finally got around to replacing my hood struts about 2 months ago, with the following part: http://www.rockauto.com/catalog/moreinfo.php?pk=119047 MONROE Part # 901206 Last weekend I filled up with gas, and my hood won't stay up anymore. I did notice a few days before that...

    Fat guy coilovers

I've ran my car with at least an extra 400lbs in passenger weight, same thing as Mario, car doesn't even squat more than maybe 1/2"? Running Megan Racing track coilovers. I know when I had the Eibach/Koni combination you had to PUSH hard on the hood or tail to get the thing to even MOVE...

2JZ from Japan Direct Japanese Auto... good or bad?

Can't say I've heard of them, but the price is typical of 2j's from Aristos. Personally I'd recommend Jhot any day of the week though. Ebay feedback and their reputation on here speaks for itself. http://www.jhotimports.com/

Tips on removing stock y pipe???????

Glad to hear that things went (seemingly) smoothly... Couldn't have been much more a pain than my car was haha. I wonder where my old Y-pipe went anyway, need a target for the Dragunov if we ever get around to taking it out any time soon...

    Wheel Fitment & Question Thread

May I ask why you would put a 235 on a 10.5" wheel? Just seems like a good way to stress a tire or dent a rim... Should fit just fine, given an appropriate sized tire. Stick 355's out back and you *might* have an issue or two with rubbing. ;)

    Cheapest Supra Coilover

Well, if you're after a good all around coilover, I'd suggest the Megans. I don't have any experience with anything more expensive, and they do well enough for my occasional slinging of my piggy-car through the mountains around here. They're reasonably priced (is $300 more for a more or less...

Tips on removing stock y pipe???????

Hey, for what it's worth, the stock JZA piping is certainly bigger inner diameter and somewhat better designed for flow compared to the 7m downpipe bits...

Very odd problem with my 1jz!

Something to check on, spark plug gap. Mine was breaking up under boost around 4000 or so, until I gapped the plugs around .28. Haven't had the problem since. Although I didn't have that code 14 problem, but it never hurts to have properly gapped plugs does it? :)

    1jz y-pipes

If you're keeping the twins for more than 6 months, I'd say yes. If you plan on upgrading sooner, I'd say save the money. If the turbos are already off the vehicle it should save you a bit of a headache. Just remember to keep bolts a bit loosened up so you can have some wiggle room when...
