I'm talking only about the radiator hose clamps mind you. It was about 5 years ago. Found the original a few weeks later. Piss me off...
edit: Iirc Gates hoses are EPDM. Made to resist ECD...
The factory constant tension band clamps on my car were green. Whether they were zinc chromated (which can be green) I don't know. I assume they were. All but one (the replacement was also green) were in service 22 years and not once did any of them leak.
The only way to optimally set them is with a scope and if you had one you'd already know if your problem was CPS related. And fwiw a weak signal can't effect how the engine starts by varying degrees. It's either strong enough to bias the ECU's A/D converter or it isn't. Not to mention a signal...
More likely than it staying on electrically, that's for sure, but unlikely to be the cause of your problem.
Eyeball it with the fuel pump jumpered on by either removing it from the manifold or looking through the TB. You might also want to do a rest pressure decay check...
How can you think it's working backwards when you correctly described how it works in the first post? ;)
The cruise control switch can't be involved and resetting the engine ECU isn't going to do squat. All three pieces of evidence point to what Poodles said. Why your stop lights aren't on is...
I dunno what to say. The pin out for both devices are the same, as are their signals. Many people have used the part without issue. They have different numbers because of a slight difference that doesn't effect operation. I suspect the number is also different simply because it's a Lex part...
As I suspected. I ran that number for years and kept the stock one as a spare. In fact 42011 was still on the car when I got rid of it. Had zero problems the entire time...
Why don't you just test it and see? Like viper my gut feeling is he pooched the job...
Btw all these posts claiming "but the car was fine yesterday" crack me up. How do these people think shit breaks? One moment it works and the next it doesn't...
While that may be good advice the point is unless he puts more effort into his posts he's unlikely to get decent help. Ironically, you're in the same boat. Must be that Florida thing again...
Ok, I see what you were thinking. If that were true your assumption of decreased resistance with wear would be correct. However the film is there to create resistance between itself and the wiper as the wiper moves along it. The more film there is between the wiper and one end of the film the...
