It sure does...got a MotorGuard bypass filter (uses a roll of TP) on my Toyota truck. Filters down to 1 micron ;)
Way over kill for particulates, but that is what it does...the oil is analytically clean and the TP absorbs moisture. JJ has on on his supra as well in the charcoal canister...
I apologize for that...I meant to let you know. It was inadvertently approved to begin with.
You have to be careful with those code readers...useful for retrieving the code, but you need to reference the TSRM for the diagnostic.
Code 31 on the 7M-GTE: Open or short circuit in air flow meter signal.
Trouble Area: Air flow meter circuit, Air flow meter, ECU
What you posted applies to the 7M-GE
Code 51 refers to no IDL signal with the TB closed...as I said, having the AC button pressed in sets the code.
Trouble...
You mean the ones a universal code reader spits out? The only codes that are applicable to the 7M are the ones in the TSRM for the EFI, auto tranny, and ABS. The remaining codes one of those devices output is either for other model cars or redundant.
That is why I deleted your thread in the...
It's a significant benefit...as you can see from JJ's pics, that filter caught quite a bit of crap floating around the coolant system. That stuff can accumulate in the radiator, cutting efficiency to the point of blockage over time. Considering all the problems you see on a Mk III cooling...
Name/location of the shop in CT? There's been a few NE guys asking about good shops in that area...I'm sure the shop owner would appreciate the business.
BTW - who made the high flow oil pump?
Yeah...thinking the same thing:

Attaining 700 HP is NOT an easy thing to do on the 7M platform...those 6-7 guys need to sign on here and post in the Dyno section to share the info ;)
Stop being defensive...I did not treat you like a "typical teenager"...you perceived an attack and are reacting in that manner. The same response would have happened if you were 40 (I didn't even look at your profile till post #17). The only reason I posted what I did was to give you...
First of all why should I have to ask? You are the one looking for info...it's up to you to provide the background of what you have and what your plans are. You might want to read this:
Dealing with the "oldschool" guys (or: How to ask smart questions..)

It wasn't an attack nor did I belittle you based on the info provided...that is how you chose to to perceive it ;)
There's actually quite a bit of useful info in my post...you never said you were using an AEM EMS. And, I'm not a mind reader.
Like I said, if this is a track car have at...
I know how the EGR works in relation with the ECU...and, it's obvious that you do not. Once again, misinformation from a person that "heard" pure BS and has NFI of how it really works.
1) The EGR reduces combustion gas temps...this in turn makes detonation less likely. There was a marked...
Based on your CO2, HC and CO, it looks like you're running a touch rich, but not badly so. If the ECU was reset due to pulling the EFI fuse or disconnecting the battery, it will take a bit for the ECU to "re-learn" the feedback corrections for AFR control. If it was not reset, I would do so...
Do the easy stuff 1st...test the modulator and the VSV.
Removing the EGR is a royal PITA...I suggest removing the upper intake manifold to make it easier. You might as well clean the exhaust gas path I mentioned earlier while you are at it...a long drill bit the diameter of the "tube"...
Yep...NOx is through the roof. The EGR has the biggest impact, but timing will too (the KS retard is not helping). Your valve either is not working or it's clogged up. Here's the TRSM info:

If the valve is clogged up with...
