ARGH! To those of you with solid shim spacers- help!

Nevermind, guys- I found the problem: Old front pinion bearing, "new" front bearing... The new one is obviously the incorrect part(thanks, Rockauto), as it is at least 5mm too shallow.

ARGH! To those of you with solid shim spacers- help!

Hey guys- I'm trying to reassemble my spare diff, using a solid shim spacer. My problem is that while I'm trying to properly shim for preload on the pinion, it seems like the pinion flange(where the driveshaft bolts to) is bottoming out on the differential case! I don't understand how this...

Guys That repainted thier car: Window molding suggestions. replace, repaint?

I did notice one small problem from the newer style trim- When you spray the windshield with washer fluid and your windows are open, it's coming inside. The oem style's raised edge prevented this from happening to some extent. Not that this is a huge problem, of course.

Filling gouges in urethane- what to use?

Hey guys- I have some gouges in my header panel, as a result of sun damage. They look like someone pulled a comb through the top of the urethane, and made some ~1mm scratches in it. I was wondering- can a polyester bodyfiller be used, and would it stick, or do I have to worry about reaction...

Datalogging, nitrogen coilovers, AEM EMS...and stock brake calipers? Seems like you'd want more stopping power than stock.

Starter spinning but not catching, cant figure it out.

That sensor going to the back of the tranny is either the reverse light switch, or the abs sensor. And make sure there is a good ground between the engine and the chassis, otherwise electricity will start finding more expensive paths to take.

    rebuilt 7M, no start

Pictures would help of the connector, but yes, it sounds like your touching the alternator wire to the battery... no. Check to make sure you plugged the solenoid trigger wire into the starter, and that both pos. and neg. cables are tight at both the battery and the block/ starter.

What did the ashtray have to do with running toggle switches? And I think Hvyman was trying to say that you CAN'T run engine fans on the AC relay. If I recall correctly, the ac fans only come on if the ac is indeed on, OR if you exceed a dangerous temperature- something like 225 degrees or...

where can i get a cheap decent clutch? ADDED VIDEO'S Pg.#3

I puit it on a new aluminum flywheel. I've been driving on it for 5,000+ miles, it started slipping after about 1,000. It may be that I got a weak pressure plate, or something was just off, but regardless- for my power goal plans(~400hp), I'd rather get a full-face disc with a better pressure...

where can i get a cheap decent clutch? ADDED VIDEO'S Pg.#3

I have an F1 6 puck clutch and it slips like crazy. And I don't have mad HP/TQ at the moment. I say stock, or an Exedy stock kit would be just as good.
