    Electric fan question...

Since you're in the US there's always the Dakota Digital controller with display: http://tinyurl.com/2vkcxt4 Or the variable/dual speed Spal: http://www.spalusa.com/Catalog-SPALusa/FAN-PWM-V3.HTM Not that either of those used with e fans alone is going to solve your problem...

JZ Coils on 7M-GTE with dual ignitors

^ Well, in this case by having twice the coils and twice the igniters you double the chances of something failing. Plus you get a poorly designed driver circuit that can burn out your catalyst while hydrolocking the engine. It looks good though. What more could you want? ;)

Why is my engine running so odd now? throwing a code 71 EGR

Me thinks you screwed up putting the CPS in. You know, the part you removed after being unsure of what it was. The EGR code is because your EGR isn't working. I won't get into the code 34 thing. Let someone else handle it. edit: beaten by 89...

    no spark

    1) Check the EFI fuse in the engine compartment fuse box. 2) Check the 7.5 amp IGN fuse in the left kick panel. 3) Check the 7.5 amp GAUGE fuse in the left kick panel. If no joy: http://www.cygnusx1.net/Supra/Library/TEWD/MK3/manual.aspx?S=Main&P=18 Remove the EFI Main Relay and jumper...

    no spark

I dunno where you read that but no, it's not true. And assuming the bulb is good if the MIL doesn't illuminate with the key on the ECU likely isn't receiving power. Until that's fixed you're dead in the water...

    Coil pack secondary resistance

Unsure what you meant by "not firing like the others" but based on what was written I doubt the problem is ignition system related.

Where to source 3/4" (19mm) vacuum hose for ISC on FFIM?

I assumed you needed 6 feet of hose total, not that it would be contiguous. My bad. Odd that it'd require that. Lots of springs out there. Try the local hardware store or Macmaster-Carr. Doesn't have to be a close fit and doesn't have to be one spring. Go stainless if possible. Or try it...

    Coil pack secondary resistance

Secondary winding resistance can't be measured without special gear due to integral high voltage diodes. Lacking an ignition scope the other option is to buy one of those cheap-ish digital testers. Keep in mind secondary voltage is dependent on many things eg; gap, cylinder pressure, and...

    Questions about bypass oil filters

They do a poor job explaining it. Some flow is always diverted through the bypass element while the rest goes through the screen. Should the element reach capacity all flow will be through the screen. How it works will become apparent if you handle one. The 8-10 micron rating refers to the...

    running condenser fans

I find it easier to use the TWED instead of the diagrams in the TSRM but whatever works is good. This mod turns the fans on only when coolant temp creeps higher than normal. That usually happens only after the engine is shut down. On my car what typically occurred was the fans would come on...

1987 7mge swapped to 1988 7mgte no spark no fuel

No problem. Firing order is 153624 Putting the first three over the second three gets you the plug sets: 1 5 3 6 2 4 Somewhere in there is a clue as to why your engine ran OK...

1987 7mge swapped to 1988 7mgte no spark no fuel

^ That's wiring order, not firing order, but I think that's what he was looking for. OP: Look here for the diag box: http://www.cygnusx1.net/Supra/TechTips/engine_error_codes.aspx There is no G switch on these cars. Fuel interlocking on non-turbo vehicles is provided by a switch in the AFM...
