And with the pressures you show, that's about right ;)
You do know that Mobil 1 is a Grp III hydrocracked dino oil (not a PAO or ester based synthetic)? Might want to take a look in the oil section...personally, I run Castrol European Formula 0W-30 (aka: German Castrol) all year. It's a...
That would be it Jag...JJ got me using this...good stuff. Might want to get some dye for it, it's very light colored. Since you're putting it in a new motor, no flush necessary either.
You do mean a "little less viscous" as it heats up...right? ;)
If you guys are running a 50W multigrade, it's no wonder you have high pressure. One thing to keep in mind is high pressure does not equal high flow...thick oils do not flow as well as a 30W multigrade. You are not helping the...
Of course it will rev with a vac leak. Also, make sure the vac line to the EGR VSV is blocked off since you do not have an EGR.
BTW - In the future do not make multiple threads for the same problem in different sections. I merged the threads and deleted the other one.
Consider this a...
You don't want to re-use gaskets :3d_frown:
If you blocked off the ISCV and PCV, the engine should have died (assuming the TB plate is closed). This tells me you have a pretty big air leak somewhere.
Have you pulled ECU codes yet?
Should be the 1st thing to do...that is unless you like...
Not too sure if I would do that John ;)

I realize NGP+ is "supposed" to be a direct replacement...it is still the same base chemical make-up of the standard NPG coolant. The bottom line is the Supra coolant system is not made to...
When you blocked off the PCV and ISCV, was the TB plate fully closed?
New gaskets for the lower intake manifold (x2)? How about the TB and ISCV gasket?
Personally, I would dump the O2W oil cooler completely and switch over to a thermostat controlled full flow oil cooler circuit. I would use the biggest O2A oil cooler I could fit. This will have a pretty big effect on coolant temps by itself...you are no longer transferring heat to the coolant...
A syn oil does greatly reduce the "coking effect" on engine shut down. What does happen though is the excessive heat in the turbo breaks down the additives in the oil...it has a very small effect overall due to the amounts of oil we're talking about here. So, a turbo timer is not completely...
What I would do (if you block off the turbo coolant lines) is remove the jiggle valve on the thermostat. This will allow a small amount of flow to the rad and prevent any pressure issues that may prevent the thermostat from opening. Actually, I would do this even if the turbo coolant lines are...
Are you positive there are no leaks in the accordion hose or IC piping?
For the Code 31, might be time to check the connector itself and harness wiring to the ECU.
Ummm...Halon is very common for racing and avation applications. Try an eBay or Google search before making this statement:

Halon is used in avation for a reason...might want to think about that.
Dry Chem is going to trash...
Red Line D4 or High Temp ATF, RP Max ATF, Amsoil Universal ATF are all excellent choices. Even (gag) Mobil 1 Synthetic ATF would work well, but I am unsure of what it's base stock oil is...last I knew it was a PAO synthetic, but with the way Exxon-Mobil is playing games now and days, don't hold...
I would change the fluid and make sure the screen in the reservoir is not clogged up. You can use a rail type cooler advertised for tranny use...PermaCool has some at good prices. Adding a Magnafine filter in the return line to the reservoir is a good idea too.
Rob - BC cams seem to have a problem with the phasing of the helical gear on the exhaust cam. Might want to look at this thread:
http://www.supramania.com/forums/showthread.php?t=56763
Concerning the PCV...it's a pretty simple system. My advice would be to set it up like stock with a line...
