I've had that happen a couple times on different engines, I always figure the gasket was cooked onto the housing. Grab a screw driver or some pliers and pry it out. If any gasket sticks, you might wanna gently clean up the housing.

Best mileage I've ever seen is the stretch of highway between Nevada, Arizona, and Utah, on I-15, you cross over all three around the Virgin River Canyon area. Something magical about this place, it's quite encouraging to put the foot down, yet I've still averaged 28-30mpg through that section...

Oil cooler is a good idea, I need to get one myself... well, if the fan setup I bought doesn't cool it off better than the current setup anyway.

I will say this much, owning a house is friggin expensive, but the freedom to park your baby INDOORS is quite nice. I can leave the top off and windows down whenever I want now, no need to worry about prying eyes or people messing with my car being out on the street...

2" drop would be pretty close to the far side of things I would think... How much do the Eibach pro springs drop the front of the car? I had those on mine, and it was a significant drop from stock, at least in front.
