You guys gonna bring this by SILV this year?

E3 spark plugs proven for more power and fuel efficiency.

Heh, I bought one of those back in my ignorant days of youth... Ninja Turtle bucket? Yes please... I'm wondering what that thing at the end was though. Dino? Jalpa?

Jap style Exhaust - angle or straight fitment ?

Well, can't get much straighter than the RS*R and still go out the factory location on the left... I think the thing had ONE bend in it, about 10° if I remember correctly. Sounded appropriately too... That said, I'd be curious to do some dyno testing on different exhaust setups, to see which one...

Exhaust down pipe diffrent on rhd?

Just like they say about the grass always being greener on the other side of the car, I wish I had a RHD car every time I change the oil on the 1j... steering stuff is quite obnoxious in that regard. :)

No o2 sensor? How bad is it?

That's what I gathered... I ran a BIC DDP for a few months (while it was running haha), and I just used a couple bolts that fit the threads, problem solved.

    Daddy's Little MK3 Girl

Eh, for what it's worth, my car has pink valve covers (tribute to an old joke on the AZ Supra community), and a Hello Kitty sticker on the back window (just to mess with people). I do believe I remember seeing your car at the dyno competition, didn't you lay down something like 290rwhp?

You might be a 1J owner if.....

You might be a 1j owner if you think starting off life in the 60's as a 2.0L is a pretty lame excuse for a performance engine... ...if you are one of those people who understands that the LS1 is better in every way than the LT1. ...or if you secretly wish your friend's 7m was still running...

    Disturbing the peace

Crisp, sounds like you have some experience with shitting in your own yard... are you suggesting it would be better to shit in our neighbor's yards instead?

    Fast Five

Like 14 year old twinkies, there really isn't much here to "spoil" now is there?

Jap style Exhaust - angle or straight fitment ?

Might not be entirely wrong in that idea, the theory sounds good to me, but I don't have the racing experience to say for certain. Hot air does follow cold air though... Anyone with a bit more info to shoot down that idea or lift it up?

Exhaust down pipe diffrent on rhd?

Thanks for curing my ignorance in the matter sir, hadn't thought of that... was thinking more of the catback being the same. After seeing the pictures, that doesn't look like it's meant for a Mk3 at all... Mk2 maybe, like Poodles said, but I can't see that fitting a Mk3 without a bit of chopping...

why do people run without timing covers?

Even if I were to have a show car, I'd still have a cover for the cam gears... it would be clear if I really wanted to show those off though. ;) Personally I'm the type of guy who likes sneaky mods, that's what I like about my car in it's current form... there's probably 30-40hp hiding in my...

Fastest Pikes Peak Run Ever -- In car video

Tajima-san, your balls are bigger than your wings... Wonder what sort of record he'll set next year after it's all paved, courtesy of the tree-hugging yuppies of the Sierra Club? They seem to think all this racing is ruining the abundant plant and animal life on this giant piece of granite.

Exhaust down pipe diffrent on rhd?

Flanges on the ebay y-pipes are horrible in my experience... As far as the OP's question, downpipes and exhaust bits in general should be the same across all A70 chassis cars, with the exception of the catalytic converter, which I believe to be a bit shorter on the NA cars. Hopefully someone can...

    Disturbing the peace

^Well said Abe. I usually crawl through the neighborhood I live in in 1st or second gear, never above 20mph since kids these days seem to have pudding for brains... That said, my mom commented that when I left my house it sounded like I was hauling ass, when I was only doing ~20. Car sounds a...

    Disturbing the peace

On the original subject though, we got harassed (understandably) by a neighbor back when we were trying to tune (well, get to run right anyway) a friend's 1j at around 10pm... but other than that, I've never been bothered about car noise before, and I've had some rather loud cars on a few occasions.

    Some good and bad.

Just made my day sir... some nice looking Supras in there. I remember seeing whoever has that "HT DA APEX" plate in Vegas... and is that TT 1UZ in a Corolla???

    weekly car debate thread.

You know... I think I saw that on the internet somewhere, or maybe in a really weird anime once... That hump is for the catalytic converter if I'm not mistaken. Jack up the car (probably don't really need a jack those cars are tall) and look at the Y-pipe where the header tubes are. You should...
