Umm not so sure about an exact amount but you'll need plenty of rags & from the new filter are these things that screw into then new filter. put those on the old one to prevent it from spilling dirty gas. Ive heard people remove the fuel pump relay & crank the car so less fuel is spilled but ive...
SAY WHAT?!!! You bought it recently huh. He told me $1500 i think & i was like NO WAYS. I texted that dude bout Oct 29. Lol well im glad i a worthy person bought it. When i bought mine the PO was like "i hope it has a good home" & i was like to myself "Hehehe oooooh it duz!!" Tore it apart...
Haha that means its prone for dirt to get to the intake & turbo. Get a new air filter asap. One of the main causes of engine failure is dirt. Well thats what ive heard.
That is ground from the Coil Pack Bracket to the Valve cover. Ill take some pictures soon & ill post them up. On my car i replaced that wire with another.
Edit:
Let me correct that. I have my Coil pack cover on so i can't really show you where its connected. BUT YES! its a ground wire from Coil...
Crimp?? I believe the lines are of Steel. I replaced mine a week ago & i remember a line of steel. Don't remeber any silicone lines.
Here are the Fuel Filter Location Pictures.
In Between the differential & gas tank
DON'T GO FOR CPS. Careful now, high idle can be many different things.. Throttle position sensor, idle speed valve, bad ECU, etc. My car had an EXTREMELY Dirty throttle body & wouldn't shut completely till pressed down so it would idle at 1500. So basically my father took it out cleaned it with...
Not sure but if you want i can take some pictures of its location. you'll need like a 14MM wrench & others if i remember correctly & lots of rags for the gas thats going to spill.
Ahh yes then, Go for the Fuel Filter. Those filters always come out clogged or extremely dirty. The gas looks like dirty oil from a distance. & for the Supra its in a tough spot between the tank & the differential.
Ok here are some photos i took a couple mins ago. the one with the red arrow means that hose goes to the intake manifold. from the intake it goes to a T. on the right of the T it goes to what looks like a TT & so on. & I had gloves on because it is still hot. yep
Odd. Maybe its the white box screwed into the cluster. You should take a picture of the pressure sensor & where it connects to so we can see how its connected. & not sure about 0 being correct but if it is i need it confirmed, show me the thread :] My gauge always idles at -4 when it starts...
Yeaa.. last time we took a disassembled Toyota pickup engine to a Machine shop they offered to build back the engine & we asked the price & i don't remember but we laughed our asses off & just took it home & build it back in a couple hours. But let us know the price. We'll tell you if its...
Id change the fuel filter if you haven't already. Changed mine & dark gas just kept pouring out of it & if you've never changed yours ill guarantee it'll probably clogged. & leaning out, um sorry but i don't really use those terms so do you mean like it has TOO much gas? or its like short on...
If you say you tried putting air into the boost sensor & the gauge moved then the problem is not the gauge. Probably the line that goes to the sensor is clogged or its not properly connected. Is this a completely stock setup? & it might be that white box behind the cluster, because the GAUGE is...
Hmm. Maybe it has problems getting the fuel to the engine?? Have you ever changed the Fuel filter??? & by backfire do you mean flames in the exhaust or a MISFIRE.
you have to actually drive the car on the freeway.. GO FOR IT TRUST ME.. My gauge at idle is at -4 psi & doesn't move at all until the turbo starts boosting. Im running in gear at about 2800 rpms & then floor it some & shoots up to 0 psi & then keeps going up. But like normal driving around town...
by sputters do you mean like? when you press the gas rpms go down?? & when you give it even more gas it goes up?? if so its a TIMING ISSUE. happened to me after starting the car after the rebuild.. the timing was WAAY off got it straight & its been running fine.
