Yep yep, The machine shop around here are extremely professional, but are rats when it comes to cash. On a friends motor, we took pictures before we took it to them & when we came back to pick it up they were claiming something was broken & that they had to do this & that & we argued that the...
I had always wondered if someone had just stuck that sticker on the door panel... It's all faded but i can still read the 30 seconds to cool down & i assumed it was for the oil to cool of in the turbo. Lol
:werd:
I bought an Auto meter sports series Boost gauge from an SM member, tested it & read fine at 8 PSI, turned it off & it got stuck at 3 PSI, then at 5 PSI, & there was rattling in there & these little white pieces came out. Can i say BROKEN? :nono:
I am not sure what it is called but my father (he's a tech) has a gun looking thing that flashes light, & theres this hook like box that goes on spark plug cable #1... ive been trying to learn how to use it & he never teaches me, just ignores me... -_-
Code 43 is saying there is no Starter...
I'd go to the transmission shop. But look like you know your stuff else they'll try to rip you off. Dealership rebuilding your transmission..... will be an outrageous price.
NO, the knock sensor has nothing to do with the engine not starting, Knock sensor is basically a microphone that reads the vibrations of the engine. It'll start but itll retard your engine & all you have to do is give it gas until it stabilizes. Get your ignition switch fixed, that will always...
How does a Breaker bar fail on those bolts? Im assuming you need a BIGGER one.
& if you ever need the keys that go on the crank, go to Toyota. Tell them you need the "Woodruff keys" that go on a 6M/7M crank. whatever you have.
Toyota.... ehhhhhhh.... i only like the dealership for parts. But for tech stuff my old man looks at that. He's a Technician, & i learn from him. when i try doing stuff on my own he'll ignore me & help right about the time im about to screw up or already screwed up. But yea it'd be a good idea...
Mines a 52MM Auto Meter Air/Fuel Ratio gauge, connects to ecu signal, not a wideband. im planning to install it on the A pillar pod. The gauge has a ground, 12 volt power & o2 sensor signal. I had it connected directly to the battery with a fuse between, & grounded well but it needs a signal...
Im in the same situation as you. My MPG dropped from 14MPG to 10 to 9. why? the o2 sensor plug to the ECU (theres 3 plugs, the white plug im going to refer to) broke so the computer isn't receiving signal. I hooked up a Air/Fuel Ratio gauge, it reads Stoich, going on to rich & when i step on the...
Lol. Im planning to change to leather.
& you just gave a reason why 5/6 Speed Manual rule :: lolsign :: once auto break down theyre a nightmare to fix & expensive. I rather rebuild a transmission back to stock performance or better, than get a 20+ year old one that is bound to break. down...
My stereo looks like this... & yes thats the annoying song "Birthday Sex" playing. It's an old pic as you can see, i have 89+ CC now. Shift knob sucks for the fact that its around -14 to 20 degrees Fahrenheit around here & its like touching a piece of ice. Lol
after about 4 months i get a reply... lol. Im using Fel-Pro HG.. 2K miles on it & no problems yet. Ill be Reviving the MK2 so when & if it blows i have the transportation ill need while it gets repaired. This time ill be getting ARPS, machined block, ETC.. & the MK2 Beats my "El Cheapo Honda"...
Man i love your car... so cleaaaaaan. Im probably going to follow your example after i get the MKII up.
Ahh powersteering. my MKIII took a piss yesterday, as i started it & was taking it out of the garage i felt the steering tough & surely the 1st thing in my mind was powersteering puddles on...
