Get your mind out of the gutter!

Was kinda hoping there would be more to it. Was looking forward to what the FAQ might have contained. :p

    VW TDI help

Eh, strictly speaking for efficiency's sake, I would try to make the car as slick as possible, and have as little rolling resistance as possible. I couldn't bring myself to drive a 2nd gen Beetle, but I can see the appeal of 40-50mpg. Make sure the car is clean and waxed, get some skinny tires...

Dodge egineers need to be SHOT!!!!!!!

^Umm... SC400 = 1UZ equipped. ;) Not bad on those spark plugs... better than #7 and #8 on an LS1 in a 4th gen F-body anyway. Still nowhere near as easy as a Supra with an FFIM though. I think it would take me longer to get the spark plug valley cover off the 1j than it would to actually change...

    weekly car debate thread.

Wiseco, cars were definitely large back in the day, but I think once the 50's hit, the overall height of the cars (at least common American models) seemed to lower a good bit. Best example I've come across are the modern "muscle" cars. Take the new Camaro vs the original. Take the new Challenger...

    Coil over question

The Megans are rather stiff for a daily, and not a whole ton of travel either. I'm not disappointed by them, I just think they'd be much better suited for an area with smooth roads, like Phoenix, where I bought the car. They were great there... but we have a lot of bumps here. :( I'd personally...

    blew my 2j......suggestions?

Well, you're gonna need to pull the engine out anyway, might as well get a stand and start dismantling the motor, you're bound to find some hint as to the problem anyway. Worst case scenario, you can at least take some pictures and hope someone on here can help. :)

How Much It Cost You To Do Your Swap?

See? Do these things NOW rather than later, rubber is brittle, and without occasional oil to keep it fresh, it likes to dry up, shrink, and cause leaks, both minor and massive! ;) My only (so far) rubber failure was one of the turbo coolant lines, burst on my way into the parking lot at work...

    Wiring Harness

Very nice... Wes, at Earnhardt Toyota in Mesa is another really good local resource for you Arizona guys. Not to derail the thread, but if you haven't eaten at Chino Bandido yet, and you live that close... you're missing out. ;)

Hey, I didn't start it, but I'm gonna have a laugh anyway. :)

Just found out my thyroid has to be removed

Haha, seeing things like that in movies, tv, etc... doesn't bother me. In real life however, I'm kinda a wuss when it comes to that sort of thing. :p

O just had an acyst removed

I've got one growing on my cheek as we speak... I really need to get in to get it sliced out. It's traumatic to the body, no matter how "surgical" the removal is, you're causing a wound to the body... of course you'll be sore. Just don't take any pain meds if you haven't eaten, trust me. Learned...

    weekly car debate thread.

Is it alright to talk about something related, but a bit of an aside in here? If so, I propose the following to you: Why are all new cars built with such tall front and rear ends? Is it for pedestrian "safety" (last I checked, it wasn't safe to be in the road at all..), or just because someone...

    New power!!!! 404HP 405ft lbs @ the wheels CT26 on 17.5lbs

I've had 3 Supras already, and am picking up a 4th sooner than later, and that's JUST between the Mk2 and Mk3's! I STILL regret selling my first Supra though... just keep it man, you'll kick yourself down the road if you can afford it, and sold it anyway. :D

How Much It Cost You To Do Your Swap?

Another thing worth noting, replace NOW, anything rubber on the engine. Take it apart, re-seal it, replace whatever coolant and oil drain/feed lines that are rubber, etc... much easier to do when the engine is OUT of the car rather than tucked in nicely. ;)

    blew my 2j......suggestions?

As for which route to take, I would stick with the engine you have, simply for the knowledge of knowing what you're up against. A new engine always brings about new mysteries. ;)

    Who are you again? ;)

Funniest thing you've ever heard about your supra.

All depends on the owner in most cases... I've put however many miles on mine (broken speedo cable, again) in the last 22 months that I've been daily driving/abusing mine. Hell, I treat this thing like a work horse. It's my grocery getting, tow-, race, etc car. Aside from oil changes and a...

I would also recommend signing up for azsupracentral.com. Not sure who's posting on there anymore, but there are some good guys (and a couple gals) down there that share our hobby/obsession. :)

    Whats this sticker for/mean?

Well, I see a "Toyota" written out there, but that's all that looks familiar to me. Nothing I've ever seen in the past, hopefully someone on here can read Japanese for ya.
