Could be a mis-translation, but it could just be the market on them. Look at prices of 2000GT's these days, they're certainly not cheap either. Classic Japanese iron, bound to be expensive...
Now that Devin posted the BKR7E thing, I think I'm running the BKR6E, and have been since the car had the issue with the gap being incorrect... runs just fine for the most part with the 6 heat range plug, but I've never run the 7 range to compare.
I've never had them get stuck closed, only had one lose the clip that holds the actuator on. One turbo REALLY overworking itself to get to max PSI while the other flushed away all it's potential down the tubes...
As for this cut, is it fuel cut, or is it just breaking up? As always, I'd...
I'd suggest a different car if you're looking at a minimum budget and low cost... Seriously. Sell the Supra and get something like a Miata if budget is a serious concern. 90% of the fun (if not more fun depending on driving style) and about 10% of the cost/maintenance.
-Greddy replica (Shine Auto Project) front bumper, carbon fiber, (1 of 1 so far)
-Regulus replica (unknown manufacturer) header panel, carbon fiber 1 of ???
-S2 replica (Shine again) front fenders, carbon fiber (1 of 2 so far)
-Regulus (authentic) rear spoiler, 1 of something like 9-10 in the US...
2/3 of your car might weigh 2500lbs... I've never looked at my title all that closely myself, is weight listed on all vehicles? Or is that a state to state thing?
I used to just run it in the windshield, but the cops around here have few better things to do, and eventually told me that next time I'd be getting a ticket. Few zipties later, problem solved. Bumper cover from Shine is NOT going to be having holes in it, and I'm not gonna be blocking any...
Pretty sure if you were to bore a 7m 60 over, your cylinders would rub on each other... That aside, shifting into 4th at 135 is pretty damned impressive, must have some REALLY long gears.
I'd believe you on the sound thing... I used to know when my friend was turning onto the main...
Ahh... the P4/5 Enzo conversion. That car has had an interesting history. If I remember correctly, it's body panels went to repairing a wrecked Enzo that has since been made into a salt-flats car that's been turbocharged...
And for what an extensively modified Mk3 would cost, you could probably...
This is what I've always heard as well...
Devin, you make me feel sad. Granted, I've only gotten to run at a track ONCE, but you're getting the same 60' I am, yet I'm on MUCH stickier tires (at least vs the Hankook's, especially if you're on 225/50's), and your kinda cam limited on your top...
Glad you found it funny. Been reading that comic for a few years now, daily distur-bation? Disturing-ness? Disturbed-ity? Not sure... pretty twisted comic though. :)
Nice find man, friend of mine is pretty obsessed with the really LATE Mk2's that were made around late 1985 as 1986 models. I think he might have one of the last ones made...
Where should I start?
-Mine is the only driving Mk3 I know of around here, for at least 100 miles.
-Mine has a half-cage
-Mine is the only 1j in this state. Beyond that, it's cammed and ported.
-Mine (so far at least) holds the HP dyno record for the stock twins.
-Then we get to the parts...
Too soon? Love the comic, thought this one you might find amusing Abe. :)
If anyone's bothered by it feel free to delete this post, just throwing it out there...
